Something More?

Finally. I no longer have to worry about unreciprocated emotions. I no longer need to fear rejection. I no longer need to keep what I feel hidden, from Andrew or from myself. I closed my eyes and started drifting to sleep when the plane suddenly jolted forward. It was finally time for take off , which was kind of smooth.
When we were in the air a voice came on over the intercom, "Good even lady's and gentlemen, we should be arriving in London in about 8 hours. It is now safe to activate mobile devices, and the planes wifi is now up. Enjoy your flight."
The com turned off and I sighed when I saw one of the staff members pull out a camera. They motioned that it was recording and Ashley started taking to the camera, "Hey guys, it's me Ashley and we're doing an update from on our airplane."
“Hey guys! we’re on our way to Europe! We’ve got 8 hours on here and then its time for B-E-D!” CC called from across the plane.
I did my best to tune out the annoying nothing's the guys spewed, but that attempt completely failed when CC started poking fun at me and Andrew sitting slightly away from the others.
"And there's our resident doc playing antisocial with Andy. Have the two of you sorted out your feelings yet?"
I sent the man a glare before replying, "CC, my emotional state is no concern of yours. Now would you guys do everyone a favor and take a nap or something?"
"Aww, you're no fun," CC pouted.
"Dude, please stop talking before star-girl tears you a new one," Jake interjected from his seat.
Jinxx couldn't be bothered to put a stop to this nonsense because he was skyping his wife and John was currently missing, probably in the bathroom or something. It was looking like I was going to have to handle things myself, but before I could act I felt a strong arm wrap around my shoulders. Andrew leaned over to me and murmured just loud enough for me to hear, "Just try to ignore them. If you want you could listen to some music and sleep."
I nodded and headed to my pack. I came back a minute later with two pairs of headphones plugged into my phone. I handed one pair to Andrew and put the other on myself, turning on Unravel by TK. Within moments I was leaning against Andrew, silent and content. Andrew wormed his fingers between mine, interlocking our hands in a gentle yet reassuring way. By the time Again by Yui came on I was starting to drift into a comfortable slumber.
I could feel Andrew next to me and for the first time in a long time I had faith. Not the kind of faith that makes people blindly follow and ignore fact, but faith that for now, everything would work itself out. I smiled at the borderline absurd idea of me having faith in something before finally falling asleep.
