The Moment

CC's POV
"HAILZ!" I called out, hoping she would hear me.
Ronnie followed my calls with his own "Hailey! Where are you?"
We continued down the brightly lit hallways, calling for her every couple of seconds.
So far there hasn't been a response, and I'm becoming more and more worried.
"Hailey, they called for the loved ones to visit her. Where are you so we can take you to see her?" Ronnie called out.
"Hailz? Are you around here?"
No response, once again. I walked to the elevator to go to the next floor, and hit the button repeatedly.
This damn thing needs to hurry up and get here so I can find my chick.
After a few seconds I hear the doors open and walk in, preparing to go up.
Just before the doors closed I heard Ronnie call out to me.
"CC I think I hear her in here." Ronnie yelled to me.
Damn it! Now I have to wait for the elevator the reach the next floor and then come back down.
Ronnie's POV
"Come on Hailey. She needs you. Where are you?"
Somewhere around me, I heard sounds of sobs and vomiting.
I followed the sound to a nearby bathroom.
"CC I think I hear her in here!" I yelled out to CC, but it was too late.
The elevator doors have already closed I guess I'll have to check myself, so I walked to the door and gently knocked on it.
"Hailey? Are you in there?" I spoke softly.
All I could hear was coughing coming from the other side of the door.
I was about to turn and walk away, but stopped when I heard a small 'yea' come out.
Opening the door and stepping inside I looked for her.
"Hailey..." I spoke breathlessly following the sounds of gagging to the furthest stall.
I quickly pushed open the stall door and saw her hunched over the toilet, puking her guts out.
Swiftly I moved to her side and held her hair away from her face with one hand; texting CC with the other hand.
"I saw her, I saw her Ronnie." Hailey mumbled weakly to me.
"Wait, what? You saw who, Hailey?"
Nobody has been allowed into Rain's room until a few minutes ago.
How could she of possibly seen her?
"She looked... she almost... it was too..." Hailey choked out, before puking more.
"She almost what? It was too what? Be careful not to rush your words, you might puke more." I said to her gently.
"Saw. Room number. Doctor's clipboard," she spoke slowly " She just... looked so.."
"So what Hailey?" I asked as a knock on the door echoes through the bathroom.
"Dead."
"Are you guys in there?" CC called into the bathroom.
My mind instantly flew to the thought of Ashley and how he was taking it.
His sprinting to Rain's room as soon as the nurse issued an okay for viewing.
He's probably crushed. How is this going to affect the rest of their tour?
Wait, why the hell am I even thinking about their tour.
Fuck it, the tour isn't important.
Not when we have a friend, and girlfriend to Ash, who's teetering on the edge of life and death.
"Too real. Had to..." Hailey started.
Her sentence interrupted by her heaving and puked more, barely able to keep herself propped up, using the sides of the toilet for support.
"Oh god, baby girl, what's wrong?" CC asked frantically.
Hailey started shaking uncontrollably.
Thankfully CC caught her before what little strength she had left gave out.
"Hailey, try to explain to him. I really need to go check on Ashley." I called back as I dashed out of the bathroom.
I got Rain's room number from the nurse at the main desk, and got to the room as quickly as possible.
I entered the room and saw Rain's nearly lifeless body lying still on the bed.
Wires and tubes coming from every direction, hooking into machines that did who knows what.
The only movement was the slight rise and fall of Rain's chest, truly proving that she is still alive, and Ashley's shoulders moving up and down from his sobs.

Short final update for tonight. Sorry if I'm breaking your heart by doing this. Also, this part of the story is nearing the end. Once It's over I'll start part two. Its title is going to be "Tomorrow Is Waiting"
