Beauty and the Beast

Mayell sat inside the carriage on the way back. Jinxx tried to stay silent as needles kept appearing where he was sitting. He would hear her chuckle, and ignore it. He couldn’t get to the castle fast enough. The sun had set about 5 miles before they reached the protection of the stone walls. Mayell did not seem phased when small orbs of light seemed to dance around her as she got out of the carriage.

They entered into the castle and were greeted by Ashley and CC. “She’s really bad…” CC murmured, while Mayell slowly took her over coat off of her shoulders and handed it to Jinxx to put wherever.

She flipped her hair back and popped her chest out, she remembered Ashley well. “Where is she?”

CC led Mayell to Kenna’s room. Andy was trying to hold her still. His hands on her arms. She was thrashing, screaming curses. Her whole eyes were black as night. Mayell brought her hand to her face. She had rings on every finger but her right thumb, and bracelets littered her wrist. She carried a small bad on her left shoulder.

“Oh my, this was a nasty wasn’t he?” She commented, not really to anyone in particular. She glided over to Kenna’s side, opposite Andy. She set her bag down and hovered her hands over Kenna’s body. She still thrashed around. “This is going to take some time.” She said when she put her hands down by her sides.

Kenna stopped thrashing around when Mayell smeared a blue line across her forehead. Andy sat up straight, but didn’t look away from Kenna. “How long?” He asked, crossing his arms over his chest.

Mayell shrugged, “few hours, few days.” She looked to Andy. “Hard to say.”

“A few days?!” Andy finally looked away from Kenna and to Mayell.

“May, she’ll be dead in a few days.” Ashley said.

She snarled, and rolled her eyes. “You have done a lot already. She should have been dead by now, but all you’ve been doing to pushing off the inevitable.”

“But you can fix her?” Andy asked.

She shrugged, “leave us be. I don’t do magic in the presence of others.” She rolled her sleeves up and reached into her bag, pulling out a small bowl and potions.

Jinxx pulled everyone out of the room. Andy hesitated, he hadn’t left her side in days. “She’ll be fine, Andy. Mayell will help her.”

Andy looked to Jinxx and then back to Kenna. “If she dies…” Andy started.

“Yeah yeah, your beast will hunt me down until the end of time.” She waved him off, looking down at what she was doing.

And gave a low growl, but left with Jinxx. Handing Kenna over to the devil.
