The Devil in the Mirror

Rose's POV:

It was exactly one week until Thanksgiving, which meat I would finally be able to see my baby after being apart for a month. I was so excited! I had been gushing about him practically all month to my roommate, Sam, and while at first she was thrilled that I had found someone, she had just about had it.

"I swear to god, Rosie if you say how 'dreamy' Chris's eyes are one more time, I'm going to throw you out the window!" She glowers in exasperation, but the humour in her voice is evident.

I giggle and hug her, "sorry Sammy, but I just can't help it! I haven't seen him and I miss him so much!"

"Good god, girl, you sound like a freshman in high school. And not the slutty kind. I'm talking 'cutie pie, stereotypical dumb cheerleader, who doesn't even know what sex' is kind," she shudders, "my least favourite kind. At least with the whores they at least know what sex is!"

I roll my eyes and shove her playfully, nearly making her fall off of her bed. She glare at me, and whacks me with a plush penguin, but I skillfully intercept, sticking my tongue out at her. As he is about to retaliate, my phone vibrates on my bed, making em leap not and answer hastily.

Sam rolls her eyes, and signals that she'll be in the other room. I send her a look of appreciation and gratitude before switching my attention to my phone.

"hello?" I ask, trying to mask the cheerfulness from my voice.

"hey babe!" he says brightly, making my heart flutter.

"Hey sweetie! I thought you guys had a gig tonight?" I ask, though silently preying that I was wrong.

"yeah, we do, we're on in ten minutes," a voice in the background suddenly announces that Motionless in White is on in two. "Okay, maybe less than that, but I just had to hear your voice."

My heart beats wildly in my chest, sending waves of bliss through my veins, "I miss you so much. But baby, you can't miss your own show! The fans would be upset, and I know you het disappointing them. You're too sweet!"

He sighs, and I can tell he is running a hand through his hair, most likely dishevelling it. "I know, but we haven't talked in a few days, so I figured I'd check up on you. How's classes going?"

I laugh lightly before responding, "classes are great! I've got a couple mid-terms coming up, but other than that, everything is fine. You worry too much."

"I know, I'm just making sure you're okay. I don't want anything to happen to you. You don't deserve what happened," he adds quietly.

I close my eyes at the memory, the one I tried to erase from my mind but to no avail. He's referring to the day after I gave myself to my ex-boyfriend, Andy Biersack, and how he ripped my heart out and crushed it, calling me names and basically breaking me. Chris was so angry once he found out, a couple weeks into our relationship was when he found out accidentally. I had told him that w'd broken up, but due to the stress on our relationship, I had;t gone into details. He was livid once he'd discovered the truth, but promised not to bash Andy's idiot skull into the ground.

"baby? You still there? I have to go on now."

I nod, "sorry Chris. I-"

"was thinking about it agin?" he interrupt - he can read my mind.

"yeah, sorry Chris. Good luck, you'll do amazing, as usual! I'll see you Saturday! Oh and Sam says 'hi'"!

He chuckles, "alright babe, see you this weekend."

So in case anyone is confused, Rose and Andy are no longer dating, as Andy royally fucked up, and Chris and Rose are now dating.
