Valentine's Kitty!
Andy’s POV
Valentine’s Day was a day away and I was in a rush to get Alex’s gift together. I had the whole day planned out. We would cuddle and watch Netflix in our bunk while CC and Raven were doing whatever it is they do and then we were going to have sex and then she would get her gift and then we would have sex again. But I HAD to find the perfect gift for her. So, who else to go to but her best friend? I quickly sent a text to Raven.
A: What do I get for Alex?!
R: Uh uh uh a KITTEN DUH
A: Really? A kitten?
R: Of course…
A: She has been talking non-stop bout them
R: Just go. I’ll stall.
So I quickly left and went to a nearby animal shelter. The woman with a worn expression led me to the room filled with cats. Inside, I found a tiny baby kitten that was the biggest ball of fluff I had ever seen. I adopted her and took her back. Raven was stalling with Alex and when I walked in; Alex ran over and hugged me. “Careful! The box is fragile!” I say.
“What is it??” She asks. In response, I hand her the box that she quickly opens to find the kitten looking up at her and giving her a pitiful “Mew”. She picks up the kitten and kisses me quickly before running back to our bunk to cuddle with it.
“How long until she realizes I forgot cat food and a cat box?” I ask Raven. She laughs and holds up three fingers and when she reaches one, we hear Alex’s voice.
“Andy??? Where is the food and litter?!” She yells.
“I uh… forgot it?” I tell her. She walks out, still holding the kitten and pushes it into my hands.
“I’ll be back. Come on Rae.” She and Raven walk out, leaving CC and I with the furball. It’s a cute little thing with its lost look. It reminds me of Alex and Raven when they lapse, which saddens me, but also gives me assurance that all beings feel that way, and hopefully it reminds Alex that she’s not alone. God, I hope I did a good thing.
*Next day*
I was cuddling with Alex (Raven chose to watch the cat since her and CC were going to do their thing later) when I slowly leaned in for a kiss….
