Two of the Best

Alex’s POV:

I woke up and stared at the ceiling. I heard the tv on in the sitting room but I didn’t want to come out of here. I felt as if I couldn’t move and it was harder to breathe. Nononono. Not this not now, not another one. I shut my eyes, trying my hardest to push the memories away from my mind, but I could only think of the horrors that happened almost every night, from ages 10-19. It had been 2 years since the last time it happened, and here another event came along to just remind me of what it felt like. Of how it felt like to be forced against your own will and do something. And then after it you feel as if it was your own fault, that you brought this upon yourself. And that is exactly how I felt right now. I went to see Ronnie, it was my fault that this all happened. I closed my eyes tightly and tried taking deep breaths, calming myself and trying not to get too overwhelmed and consumed in these thoughts. My eyes shot to the door as I saw the light peek through, and I couldn’t help but smile at who it was. Raven, my favorite person on this whole planet. The one who stood up for me almost always and never left me in the dark.
“Hey Lex. How are you feeling?” Raven asked and I sat up, rubbing my eyes.
“Like shit, I can’t believe that asshole did that.” I grumbled out, running my hands through my insane looking hair.
“I know. I fucking loved him at one point in time, but now, I don’t know. It’s like I’ve seen him in a whole new light.” She said and I couldn’t have agreed more.
“Same here. What are you guy’s doing?” I asked, raising an eyebrow as I attempted to flatten down my hair.
“Watching Vampire Diaries,” Raven said after peeking out into the living area. I smiled. It has always been her favorite show since it came out. I get up then and walk out of the bunks, and sat next to Andy.
“How was your nap?” Andy asked and I smiled.
“It was good,” I replied, I didn’t want to tell him about the small attack I had before Raven came in. I didn’t need him to worry anymore than he already was. We then became lost in a conversation, somehow moving to the topic of super heroes.
