Falling Angels

Claire's POV
Andy walked over to the wall lined with guitars and selected a black one with red trim. My eyes widened. "Are you gonna-?" I trailed off. I had always fantasized about hearing him play the guitar. He smirked and signaled the guys. They began playing. Andy played neither the melody nor the harmony. The notes emerging from his guitar complemented the melody and harmony that Jake and Jinxx were producing and yet it was unique and original. I stood there in shock until I realized why I was in the basement. I opened my mouth and sang-

Alone at last we can sin and fight
And I've list all faith in this blurring light
STAY RIGHT HERE WE CAN CHANGE OUR PLIGHT!
STORMING THROUGH THIS DESPITE WHAT'S RIGHT!
One final fight...

I trailed off. The room was silent. I could hear my heart beat to the tune of anticipation. Then panic. The longer the silence got, the worse I felt. Finally, I looked up from the floor and saw that the guys were staring at me in shock. Ashley's jaw had dropped open and CC had dropped his drumsticks. Jinxx looked surprised, impressed, and proud at the same time. Jake and Andy stood there with their guitars sagging from their bodies and the look on Jake's face was one of bewilderment and awe. Even though he had heard me sing before, Andy stood there looking just as surprised as the other guys. "That was-" Ashley started. "Amazing." Andy finished for him. "That was beyond amazing!" CC exclaimed. "She's touring with us." Jake and Jinxx said simultaneously. It was my turn to stand there in shock. I didn't know how to react or what to say or what to do or... Panic started to build in my chest. What if no one liked my voice? What if I got embarrassed on stage by a jealous fan. What if... Jinxx interrupted my thoughts. "You'll be fine. They're gonna love you." He looked at me the way a father looks at a baby right after it is born. I smiled. I was so glad I had these guys in my life to support me and look after me. A feeling of genuine happiness spread throughout my body. "So is that a yes on the tour?" Andy asked me. Our eyes met. "Yes." I breathed out. "Yes!" CC repeated. Ashley wrapped me in a hug and spun me around until Andy stole me back. "We told you, don't touch his Biersack Babe." Jake repeated. Andy shot Ashley a fake glare of death and doom. "Jeez, protective much?" Ash teased. "She's mine, Purdy." Andy laughed. I giggled and wrapped my arm around his waist. "When is the tour?" I asked him.
