Don't protect me, I'm strong enough.

Arlean

~Darling's POV~
I sit up in the bed. The room looks like a hospital room but last I remember I was in my parents' house. I don't know remember where I am. There are two people sitting at the edge of the bed crying. I get up and walk past them. They don't even notice. Walking down a hallway, I see a girl and she looks at me. She smiles and greets me like we are old friends.
"Hi, how are you!"
"Fine, I think. No offense but who are you?" I asked. She laughed, and it sounded like the clamor of wind chimes in the wind.
"My name is Arlean. You don't know me, but I know you. Do you know how it happened?" She asked. I must've looked baffled because she laughed again, "Your death. Do you know how you died?" Realization dawned on me. I remembered now. My name was or is Elizabeth but everyone called me Darling. I had run home after Faith told me that she didn't want me and Andy together anymore because Ashley had broken her heart. When I got home my dad abused me until Faith came and called 911 apparently and then I went into a coma I think and then I died. Faith and Andy must've been the people by my bedside.
"My dad beat me because I ran off and didn't come home until a couple days ago and he got pissed so yeah. How did you die?" I asked Arlean... that's a pretty name.
"I got raped to death 5 years ago. I've been watching you ever since I saw him come after you that one time."
"What do we do now that we are dead?" I asked considering she was still here.
"Well, since you didn't immediately go to heaven you still have stuff you need to do. Perhaps you should start with convincing Faith that it isn't her fault." Arlean said softly. Heaven... Did she honestly believe that I get to go to heaven? I walked back to the room of which I had come from. Arlean followed me and looked wistfully at my friends crying on the floor.
"I never had that sensation of friends. At my funeral only my family came. Not anybody who had called me their friend. Make them let you go or they will be here with you." she said warningly before she dissipated into thin air. I must've been her unfinished business.
~Faith's POV~
Andy rubbed my back as we both sat there crying.
"It's all my fault! If I hadn't told her you were a bad person she would've never gone home." I sobbed into his shirt. Suddenly some water had turned on. The maids must've snuck in here while we were crying and decided to clean the bathroom. After the shower had run for about 15 minutes it shut off but nobody came out. Getting up, I walked ot the bathroom to see who was in there. Instead of finding a person I found a note written on the mirror. It said, ' Faith don't blame yourself... I shouldn't have overreacted. -Darling'. I, I can't believe it. I blacked out and hit the floor.
