Life's Passing

Andy's POV

I grabbed my jacket wanting to feel comforted. I really didn't need it for the warmth. I followed Juliet down the street to
Main Ave. where a couple of sketchy looking bars were. That was how she liked to look for people. Take a evil man who had had to many drinks and was planning to do something stupid.


She walked into a bar named Drumy's. It was small with just a few people in it that were brave enough to go out in the cold. I walked past her and sat at the end of the bar ordering just a water. The man looked at me strangely but fulfilled my order. I sat and watched as Juliet went up to a smelly looking and started to hang off of him. He reacted the way she had wanted him too. Spilling his guts making sure he didn't have and kids or a wife. The she grabbed his hand and pulled him outside. It bothered me a little that this was the last time anyone would ever see this man, but this what we were now.

I sat there for a moment wondering what was taking so long. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and saw that it was 1:25 am. I flipped my cup on its top and threw a couple of dollars down for the barman then walked out side. I couldn't see Juliet anywhere but I could smell her. I followed her scent quickly at vampire speed. She had to be in trouble if she hadn't come back yet.

I followed her scent back to a small river on the edge of town. I saw the man there on a small boat with a gun held to Juliet's head. I wasn't sure if the gun could hurt her or not but I wasn't about to test that theory. I jumped from the edge of the river straight on to the boat. The man turned around and shot at me. I had felt this pain before but for some reason it didn't bother me now. The man looked in confusion as he shot again this time straight into my chest. I looked down to see blood dripping out of me and onto the floor of the boat. The first gun shot had already stopped hurting me and the second one was a small sting now. I looked up at the man and smiled feeling invincible against him. I looked to see if Juliet was okay. She stood behind the man looking at me over his shoulder and seemed to shake her head at my reaction like I had just done something funny. She lunged forward the and clasped the mans throat with her mouth. He fell to his knees and as he did I joined Juliet. I ripped at the other aide of the mans throat and soon he was dead.

Jake's POV.

"Well, shit!" I said as we went into the bread aisle. There was a huge snow storm coming and all the bread had been bought. Ashley shook his head. "Mass panic, but everyone has there fucking bread. " he laughed and waved his hand in the air with mock fear. I laughed at him as we tried to decide what to get now. We quickly came up with a new game plan and walked around the store grabbing everything we could. Ashley had a little trouble getting a can soup from a rude old lady but we prevailed. We stood in the check out lane and my phone buzzed. We had all turned on notifications from the news stations in the area in case Andy went crazy or something.

WSAZ News Channel 3: Cops report to call about multiple shots fired in St. Albans. Man found died and drained of blood.

Ashley looked at me reading his phone as well. "Fuck." He whispered. We quickly paid for our food and then drove 80mph on the way home. I walked into the living room to see CC and Jinxx sitting there waiting on us. " Where are they? I asked. "They ran to Charleston to get out of the area for a while. Build an alibi." I nodded and helped carry in the rest of the groceries into the house.

After we were done we sat in the living room waiting on Andy and Juliet to return. " Hey wanna see something cool? " CC asked and Jinxx laughed hysterically behind him. I looked at Jinxx like the mad man he was then looked over to CC. "If you whip your dick out I swear to god I'm throat punching you." I said glareing at him. Everyone laughed and the CC stopped. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. All of a sudden two black wings erupted from behind his back and knocked a lamp off the near by table. "Wow, that's amazing. You've found a new way to be clumsy. " Ashley said as CC flipped him off. It was a sight to see. Tiny CC with wings cascading out of his back that were no doubt the same size as he was.
