"You look amazing my child." My father whispered as he pulled out a chair for me. "How is LA treating you?"

Oh well, there is so much to say. "Good." I nodded.

"Here is he!" My father laughed. I twirled my head slightly seeing Kelvin with a small smile. Wearing a blue suit and a red tie. I gulped hard feeling i want throw up any moment. Why would my father do this? Well he can cause reason being he does not know that this man who is now seated across from us beaten me, raped me and stabbed me. "How are you doing my son?"

"Good." Kelvin chuckled placing a kiss on my cheek. "Maxine."

"Hello." Lowering my head my palms began to sweat heavily as my hear beat escalated like the Eiffel tower elevator. "What are you doing here?"

"In LA, or here?" Turning on his charm instantly. He gave me his famous smirk and grabbed a piece of bread. My father just grinned at us. Which was weird.

"Here." I proclaimed.

"Your father invited me. I had no idea you were in LA Maxine. If i knew-" You would beat me up, throw me across the wall like a incredible angry Hulk. "I would've called you." Ha! Don't flatter yourself you piece of shit. I would've not answered. Ugh even in this man presence i want to light him on fire, rather than his fucking car.

"The reason i called Kelvin was because we have to discuss something." My father cooed drinking a bit of his whiskey. "Something important that can change your future.
Well dad my my future was changed when i got lost on a highway and came across BDSM club. Hope you can top that. "I am retiring and i want you to take over the business. Take over all the hotels." Oh yeah you definitely topped that.

"Why?" I asked dazed. "I already have a job and-"

"You are a woman. You can multitask. And besides Andrew can help you."

Andrew's Point of view.

"Andrew what are you doing here son?" Michael, Maxine's father asked shaking my hand. "Want something to drink?"

"No sir. You have been traveling. Its God send i found you."

He chuckled waiving me to the opened seat. "Here i am. In Chicago." He smiled. "Its actually good that i am seeing you. I want Maxine to take over my companies, and hotels. Do you think she could handle it?"

Max can handle anything. "Yes. Of course she can. She is amazing in everything she does."

"Good to hear. I still need to set up the contracts, will call her and ask her if she wants- why are you here son?"

I breathed heavily and nodded. "I want to ask your permission to marry your daughter. I already asked her grandfather but i need your consent as well."

Maxine's father narrowed as he took a sip of his whiskey. "You want to marry Max, i have to ask. Why?"

"I love her. I need her. She makes me laugh and when i am with her everything vanished. Just me and her together. I am hopelessly devoted to Max. I want to make her happy, i want to wake up with her in the morning, make her breakfast, even if i have to adopt her three dogs."

Micheal laughed and nodded. "You have my permission son. You can help her with my company i will make you co-owner. She is happy when she is with you." He stood up and shook my hand. "Go get her,"

"Thank you sir."

Present

I have been keeping the diamond engagement ring in my pocket for over a month now. I really wanted to do this last night when i knocked on her door but she told me to leave her alone. What could i do now?
