Perfect Weapon

Once CC and Jake left the bus, Ashley followed shortly after. Jinxx stayed behind on the laptop. Still searching for a new phone, he didn’t stop searching until he found one that he was happy with. Once he had done that, he ordered it. As he was closing the laptop, Andy emerged from the bunk room.
“Hey,” Jinxx greeted as he saw Andy coming out of the room.
“Hey...did you find anything?” Andy asked.
“Yeah, your scientist Dr. Alexander Potemkin was a Russian Noble man back in the seventeen hundreds and the facility…” Jinxx shook his head. “It doesn’t exist.”
Andy sighed as he collapsed on the couch next to Jinxx. “I told you it wasn’t part of my past.”
“I never said it was.”
“Then why...?”
“Because I was curious if they were real.”
Andy laughed.
“What?” Jinxx asked as he laughed a little.
“Just the things that get you curious.” Andy then paused. “You guys know I won’t hurt you right?” he asked.
The air in the room went from joy to serious in a matter of seconds.
“I would say yes, but after what took place in the hospital. I’m not so sure. I know you weren’t yourself when you did what you did. So I know that you didn’t mean to hurt us.” Jinxx answered.
“But…”
“Andy, I know you mean well; but if these dreams are controlling you. I’m not sure if we’ll be safe.”
“Jinxx where are you going with this?”
Jinxx sighed. “Just keep in mind, if you can, that we...as in the four of us and our fans...are not your enemy. We’re your family. We care for you just as much as you care for us.” Jinxx then laughed. “Hell, even our haters are like family. So if you ever get into that state, like you were at the hospital, remember that. If you have to mentally fight yourself to keep a clear head then do so. Got it?”
“Jinxx, I---” Andy trailed off.
“Do you understand, Andy?”
“Yes, I understand...but Jinxx…”
“What?”
“How can I fight these dreams, when they have me chained down and under this-this disease that they inject in me?”
Jinxx didn’t know what to say. “For now let’s do what the doctor told you. Remove ‘Perfect Weapon’ from our song list for this tour.”
“What should we replace it with then? And if it happens when we don’t play the song then what?”
“Why don’t we wait for the others to get back? They’re outside.”
Andy stood up. “Why don’t we join them then?”
Jinxx laughed a bit as he got up. “All right.”
They exited the bus and found the others rough housing in the grass. When they saw Andy they stopped.
“Don’t stop on our account.” Jinxx said, eagerly wanting to join.
“Actually, I have something to ask. Jinxx already told me his answer, so I want to hear yours.” Andy said as he joined the others and sat down on the grass.
Jinxx remind standing, a bit disappointed that he missed out on the fun.
“Sure man, what it is?” Jake asked.
“You guys know I won’t hurt you right?” Andy asked.
They looked at each other then looked at Andy.
“Andy...um…” CC started. “I…” he trailed off scared.
“C, I’m sorry for whatever it was I had done. You and the others know that I wasn’t myself when it happened, right? I don’t know what it was that I did, but I’m sorry.” Andy said
CC looked over at Jinxx, who nodded indicating that it was really Andy.
“Andy I know you mean well. But after that I don’t think I could believe it. I accept your apology. But honestly you fucking scared me. Forgive me.” CC answered.
“How bad was I?” Andy asked.
“You were like a fucking demon wanting to take my life...and when you spoke…”CC trailed off as he shivered in horror.
Andy could tell that, whatever he had done to CC, he had scarred his drummer. “I’m sorry.” Andy said, he then looked over to Jake and Ashley. “What about you two? You guys know I won’t hurt you guys right?”
“Well, I would most certainly would like that. But after being thrown into a medical device with Ashley. I’m skeptical about it. Ella was furious that you had done something like that, even after I told her you weren’t yourself when it happened.” Jake answered.
Ashley looked at them. “What’s wrong with you guys? Quit reminding him of something he doesn’t remember doing.” Ashley said. “Yes, he wasn’t himself; yes he’d hurt us. But can’t you see, he’s trying to change that with the situation he’s in.”
“Thanks Ash.” Andy said.
“Your welcome. I do know you that you don’t want to hurt us. But its going to happen occasionally. But if it becomes an every day thing I won’t be coming to your rescue.”
“That’s totally goes against what you just said about him, Ash.”Jinxx said.
“No, Jinxx, it’s all right.” Andy said. “Now that’s out of the way--”
“Wait…” Jinxx interrupted. “You were expecting us to answer like that?” he asked.
Andy laughed a bit.“Well, I couldn’t have asked you guys to forget about the whole thing. Now could I?” Andy asked Jinxx; he then turned back to the others.
“ As I was saying… ‘now that is out of the way’...Jinxx had made it clear on the bus that ‘Perfect Weapon’ should not be on our tour song list until this thing I’m dealing with is dealt with. So in it’s place what song should we do?”
Jinxx came over and joined them on the grass as they remained silent and in deep thought. After sometime there were whispers from travelers that stopped at the rest stop.
“Um…excuse me gentlemen…but…um…you’re Black Veil Brides right?” a woman asked.
Andy looked up at the woman.“Yes, ma’am, we are. How could we help you?” he answered.
“Well you see...my daughter had gotten hospitalized a week ago...and I was hoping that you could preform something for her. Her name is Jane Pattinson. She’s been a fan of yours since 2006.”
Andy looked at the rest of the band. “Guys we got to.”
“All right…” Ashley said confused. “ but what hospital is she at?” he asked.
“St. Jessica’s general hospital in Columbia, Missouri.”
“You mean...the one near the Rose Music Hall?” Andy asked as he looked at the girl’s mother with recollection.
“Yeah, that’s the one.”
“I remember her…I sat next to her, when I went there.”Andy said.
“So then you’re the member she met. She kept telling she met one of her idols. But she never mentioned who it was, all she said was the band name.”
“I’m Andy.” Andy said as he looked up at the girl’s mom. “It’s nice to meet you.” He said.
She curtsied in response. “Would you do me this favor for my daughter?” She asked.
“Yes, we’ll be there.” Andy answered. “we have a performance in California in a couple of days. But we’ll be back out there as soon as we’re done with this performance.” Andy told her. “What’s her room number?”
“Her room number is 1226 on the second floor.” The girls mother answered.
“We’ll be there.” Andy answered again, this time with a smile.
She curtsied again. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.” Andy answered.
“Well, I guess I’ll take my leave.” The girl’s mom curtsied once more. “Good Bye.” She said.
“Good bye.” Andy said.
Taking a fourth curtsy the mother left. Once she was out of ear shot, Andy looked back at the guys.
“Okay….well, that was way too formal for my taste.” Andy said.
Jinxx laughed a little.
“So have what have we decided on?” Andy asked.
“On what?” Ashley asked, having forgotten the previous conversation.
“On a song to replace ‘Perfect Weapon’ with for the rest of this tour.” Andy said.
“How about we do…‘Let you Down’?” Jake asked after some thought and breaking the silence.
Ashley, CC and Jinxx agreed to it. They all looked at Andy. “All right, all right, all right. We’ll do it.” Andy replied to their pleading expressions.

Several hours later, they were all back on the road.

Andy woke up in his room at the facility. He noticed Dr. Potemkin standing outside of his door, looking in through a sliver of an opening which was only wide enough to see both eyes.
“You’re awake.” Dr. Potemkin stated.
Andy nodded.
“Good, you’ll need to be for what we need you for.” Dr. Potemkin said.
“For what?”
“Your time to act is coming up soon.”
The slit then closed and footsteps were walking away.
“My time...to act? To act? What am I supposed ‘to act’ upon and what for reason?”
‘we...as in the four of us...and our fans...we’re not your enemy. We’re family; we all care for you just as you care for us...hell even our haters are family...if you have to mentally fight yourself to keep a clear head then do so...remember that…’ Jinxx’s voice answered.
“That’s right...I have no enemies outside this facility.” Andy said to himself.

“That’s right...I have no enemies outside this facility.” Andy said softly in his sleep.
Ashley looked at Andy, who was on the sprawled out on the couch, in somewhat confusion. Jinxx had heard what Andy said perfectly, since he was sitting next to him on the floor and smiled lightly.
“What he say Jinxx?”Ashley asked as the other two looked up from their card game at the table, where Ashley was.
“He said he had no enemies outside the facility.” Jinxx said.
“What made him say that?” Jake asked.
“He must’ve remembered what I told him before we went out to meet up with you guys at the rest stop.” Jinxx answered.
CC thought back to that moment. “Now that you mention it, we never heard your answer. Andy said that you had answered him before you two joined us. But what was your answer.” CC said.
Jinxx curled his lips inward and bit them as he looked at Ashley. “Well,…” He said after while looking at all three of them. “I said a lot of things. But in regard to the question he asked. I told him I wasn’t sure, because of these dreams are controlling him. I said that as long as they’re controlling him I’m not sure we’ll be safe.” Jinxx continued to answer. “our conversation opened up with information on this scientist doctor and the facility he’s in, in his dreams...since I told him I’d look them up. You guys heard that part when Ash and I were talking. He then asked me the question and gave him my answer.” Jinxx finished as he rolled his eyes and shrugged a shoulder.
“There must be more, in order to say he has no enemies outside the facility.” Ashley said.
“I told him that the four of us, our fans, and our haters are not his enemies. We’re family and if he has to he needs to mentally fight himself to keep a clear head. That’s all.” Jinxx answered in matter-of-fact tone.

Lol...wow...That conversation between Jinxx and Andy on the bus sounded like there was gonna be a break up... and I wrote it...lol. *clears throat*
