When all else fails... fake a smile.

Leah's POV

Well that afternoon, me and Brooke went walking on the beach, and some guy came up to us. He was first talking to me, asking where I was from, what my name was, and then he looked over at Brooke. He seen her scars. On her left wrist and arm you could see the words "Hell", "Help", and "Lies". Brooke hadn't really thought about the old scares but she did mange to cover up the new on. "Yo, what did you do," the dude asked looking at them. Brooke became rigged, "Nothing," she said and pulled down the sleeve of her hoodie. The guy didn't see the mark on Brooke's face, then again she had covered it with her bangs. "What the hell is wrong with you? freak." Damn, get ready for a show. One thing Me and Brooke cannot stand is being called "freak". Brooke got all up in his face, "OK mister fuckerson, what's wrong with ME?! Hmmm lets see shall we. Well right now I have a egotistical fuck bag calling me a 'freak', and trying to hit on my best friend.... well that sounds like a big problem. See I don't like you, and I don't care what you think of me. OK..." The dude stood there, "You are really.." he didn't get to finish because Brooke had let her anger out, I think from what happened at her house, and started to beat the shit out of him. He kept screaming for help, so being me I pulled her off.

Brooke's POV

"NO!! I AM NOT FUCKING DONE SHOWING THAT PICE OF SHIT WHAT A 'FREAK' CAN DO!!" Where did all of this anger come from? "Babe calm down. It's ok," Leah whispered in my ear. I swear I heard a smile in her words. I took a deep breath, "Fine," I huffed. I looked down at the dude laying in the sand. His nose was bleeding, had bruises appearing on his face, and had tears running down his cheeks, "S..S...Sor...rrry," he stammered. I spit near him, "Damn right." I let Leah lead me back to the hotel. The anger was from what happened the other night.. and you KNOW it, my mind said. It was. "You didn't have to make him cry." I smiled a tiny bit, "I kinda did. You and I know that neither of us like.... THAT word and I just snapped." I heard Leah sigh, "Was it because of what happened...at your house?" Damn her we go again with this. "Yeah. You know I keep thins in, anger, pain, tears, and I just went over my limit and that guy happened to be the one to finally push me over," I knew it killed her to not know fully what pissed me off, but she still can't know, not until.....later. Not until it is too late for her to stop me, or worse join me. I couldn't drag her down with me. Not any more then what I have done. I lite a cigarette , inhaling the tabaco, calming my nerves.

"Well.." Leah said looking down at her phone, "tomorrow we head out for the concert, but tonight lets go drink and NOT hurt grown men.." I laughed. She new that we could easily get alcohol from guys, well hell guys are easy, and if that didn't work, we have fake IDs. We headed out to a bar called, "The Place". The owners are really original... and walked in. It was pretty packed, so I told Leah to go find a table and I would go get drinks. I started to make my way to the bar, when I got shoved by a girl. "Watch it," the girl said as she walked away. I simply flicked her off. I heard a chuckle behind me, "Ok then I was wanting to see you punch her like you did at the beach to that guy," a deep sexy voice said. I turned around and came face to...well chest with a guy. I looked up in this dudes eyes, a dark brown with trouble running inside them. My breath got caught in my throat. How the hell did HE find me and why was he watching me on the beach earlier? "Hi, I'm Ashley. Ashley Purdy." he said with drop dead, sex god smile. Oh hell Brooke what are gonna get yourself in to now?
