When all else fails... fake a smile.

I drove for a long ass time. Leah had fell asleep in the backseat. I threw a blanket on her, “Why,” she merely asked. “Because I want the top down and don’t need to have you freeze to death,” I said as I stopped and started to put the top down. A simple grunt came from the back. I started driving again, and turned on the radio. Nothing like Black Veil Brides and the wind running through my hair, and to have the word "worthless" running threw your mind. I don't like to cry, for I see it as a weakness. I couldn't help it this time, I mean, I have no where to live now, my mom left because of me, my dad hates me even more, I only have $400 in my pocket , my best friend sleeping in the back, and a concert to drive to.

Leah's POV

Brooke had been driving a long time. We left Georgia behind and headed out west. She knew I got tickets for the concert in California, and we said we would drive there. The concert was in a week and a half, more then enough time to drive there and go site seeing. She didn't know that I was a wake. I was watching her. When the music stopped and waited for the other song to start, I heard her sniffle, "They are right. I am worthless. Hell I act like I am such a strong person for everyone but myself..." what happened when she went in to the house? Why won't she tell me? Because she is trying to stay strong for you, or at least look like it, my mind snapped.

Leah's POV
We finally made it to California. Man was it pretty. The sun was out, not too hot, and there was a nice breeze coming of the ocean. "Brooke, you ready to party," I said with a smile. She got out the care, stretched and turned to look at me. She looked normal, or what normal looks like for her, in her eyes I could tell she was dieing, in fact almost there, "Yeah lets go check in to the hotel and change and what not then go."
