Forever Us

“Hey, Johnnie…” I sighed.

“Skylar! Wait… are you crying? Are you okay? What’s wrong?” He had pure concern in his voice. Little did he know it was all because of him. But honestly, I wasn’t even mad at him, I mean, he apologized, he said sorry, he didn’t mean it, he didn’t…

“Nothing… Can you meet me somewhere, please…?” I asked, trying to contain the tears.

“Yeah, sure… Just tell me when I get there, okay?” He said. I gulped loudly and nodded, knowing he couldn’t head my head shake, but I still did it anyway. I hung up then grabbed my bag and walked over to the door. I stood there for a minute, hesitant, then opened the door, walking quickly towards the door to get out of the bus with my head down when I bumped into someone tall.

“Shit…” I mumbled and looked up, it was Andy, looking back down at me with his dark blue, scary eyes now.

“Where are you going?” He seemed like he wanted it to be threatening, but it wasn’t as bad as I expected.

“Bye.” I stood my ground and pushed past him, keeping my head down, walking out of the door, as soon as I got out I put my head up to see of course, Johnnie in his car. I walked over quickly, opening the door and throwing my bags in the back then buckling up.

“What happened, Sky?!” He looked extremely worried.

“Can we please just drive…” I mumbled. He looked over at me, looked like he was going to say something, then bit his lip and drove back to his bus now. Once we got there we went in and before he could say anything I dropped my bag, flinging my arms around him and putting my head on his chest, crying loudly. We didn’t say anything, just stood there, he let me cry into him and use him as a giant teddy bear. Soon he sat me down on the couch and let me still cry into him.

“I-Uhm… can we at least talk about it tomorrow morning? We don’t have to right now because you’re obviously upset, but we have to talk about it sometime. I really care about you, Sky,” He finally spoke. I nodded then we both fell asleep, cuddling on the couch. I guess I slept for the rest of the day because I didn’t wake up until early the next morning, Johnnie was asleep on the bunk across from me. I guess he also got me settled in while I was asleep.
