Forever Us

I got out of the car and Sky followed behind. We walked in together, I liked that feeling.

“Where do you want to go?” I asked.

“I don’t mind.” She shrugged.

I looked over and saw the small kids train going around the mall.

“The train!” I yelled excitedly.

“Andy! Last time we went on that you tried to push me out of the side, remember?!” She snapped, but with a grin still clearly spreading across her face.

“That was a one time thing, Sky! Please!” I wined.

“You can’t just practically kill someone and say ‘Oh that was a one time thing’ and me be okay with it!” She said, mimicking me.

I looked down at the floor and pretended to quietly sob.

“Biersack, you big faker!” I heard her say, then I felt her small fist make an impact into my arm. I laughed and looked up into her eyes and gave her big puppy eyes, I knew she was a huge sucker for them.

“Hey! Don’t give me those!” She warned. I continued and started to quiver my bottom lip.

“Pwease, Sky? Pwease?” I begged. She looked at me for a second, she looked like she was thinking.

“Fine.” She grunted, and she gave in.

“Yes!” I said excitedly.

I grabbed her hand and pulled her over to the small kiddy train we could ride. The lady looked me up and down and gave me a slight snarl.

“Both of you going?” She asked. She had a small country accent.

“Yeah.” Skylar mumbled.

“Okay, that will be $4 then, I guess….” She said with an attitude.

I slapped the money on the counter, then took Skylar’s hand and ran up to the very small train to get on, she didn’t seem to pull back as much this time. I slid into the train car, followed by her and sat down.

“Excited much? Calm down.” She said, laughing.

“Maybe you should take part of my excitement and put it into you or something, this is exciting… be excited!” I said and I shook her shoulders softly for emphasis.

“Alright, alright. If it means you’ll stop shaking me.” She said with a small giggle.

“Alright, kids, ready to start?” The constructer lady yelled.

“Yeah!” All of the kids on the train said, well… everyone said but Skylar. She asked me a question, I was going to answer.

For the next 20 minutes we were on the tiny train going around the mall, then Sky got a text.

“Shit!” She yelled/ whispered.

“What?” I asked, concerned.

“Caleb just texted me and said I need to be home asap, he never does that, I have to go, Andrew.” She looked worried.

“Oh, uh, okay. I’ll drive you home. Jump off the train and we’ll go, okay?” I said, now I was starting to get scared what might be going on.

She mumbled something I couldn’t understand, then stepped off the side of the train, I followed behind her and we started jogging to my car. I got in first and started it, she got in too. I could see her shaking, something bad had to be going on for her to be as upset as this.
