Our faith will silence the doubt

Tammy stared at the top of the stairs as the lights went out. This wasn’t part of the dance…Suddenly a random guy with short blonde hair appeared out of nowhere as one light reflected his presence. “Good afternoon Tokyo.” He chuckled, “I’m sorry. I probably should introduce myself. I’m Bryan Starz.” Tammy looked at the table next door as she heard some girls screaming. “It’s really him!” “I told you!” Tammy shook her head, what the hell was going on!? “There’s been some slight changes in today’s performance. The bride and groom will be having their first dance, but it will be much more surprising than the one planned. Ladies without further due her is, the bride and groom’s first dance, with a bit of Latin spice.” The lights turned off and Tammy heard the horrible music start to play. How on earth had she agreed to this nonsense? The lights came up on the top of the stairs and she saw Cecilia and Romeo started to dance on the top of the stairs. After about 30 seconds they stopped and looked at up. Tammy started to get a bit impatient but then the music suddenly came back on and a group of people ran down the stairs while Cecilia and Romeo kept dancing. What the hell was going on? The lights turned on of varies colors as the music started to fade and a new song came up. Tammy watched as everyone started to dance. Some of this people weren’t even properly dressed! Tammy stood up but Dave grabbed her. “Let go I’m not letting this ridiculous thing go through!” “Calm down and sit down, everyone is enjoying it.” Tammy looked around and saw the guest where all watching in amazement. “Fine!” Suddenly the group of dancer all formed a circle and fireworks came out from the stage. The group quickly spread out and there in the middle was Valentin, his hair was easy to spot out and she recognized him by the way he stood. A new song came up and she smiled as he held Kaili close to him and they started to dance.

Kaili looked at the ground trying her best to follow the routine. Left, left, hip to the right. Right, right, hip to the left. Or was it the right? “Calm down.” “I can’t!” “You’re doing fine just follow the music.” “What does that even mean?” “Stop trying to concentrate on the choreography. Just let the music drift into your bones. Feel the rhythm, be the rhythm.” Kaili looked at him confused as he spun her around. He smiled at her and pulled her close to him again. “Close your eyes and feel the music.” Kaili closed her eyes listening to the beat of the music and she smiled as she felt her feet moving by themselves. She opened her eyes to a smiling Valentin. “See, it wasn’t so hard was it?” Kaili shook her head as they continued to dance. “Now we’re going to be switching partners, do you remember how many?” Kaili nodded, “Three and then we stay dancing with the third.” “Yes that’s what Angela told us.” “Are you ready?” Kaili’s brain took a long time to register that she was being spun to the other person. “Wait-” She looked at the boy with pretty hazel eyes who held her and started to dance with her. “Congrats Kat-I mean Kaili.” Kaili looked at him confused, “thanks? Do I know you?” The boy smiled, “I don’t think so. I’m Johnny.” Kaili opened her mouth to say something but was spun to another guy before she got a word out. Odd, this boy looked an awful lot like the other one. She started to look around. In fact, all these dancers looked oddly out of place. They looked like they belonged at a concert, not here. We only had two hours to prepare for this but hey we’re doing well aren’t we?” Kaili opened her mouth to say something but was spun into the other guy’s arms once more. Kaili started to panic wait was this the third guy she needed to stay with. Or did she need one more? She felt herself being close into the guy’s chest, left, left, hip to the right. Kaili tried to think back, was it three counting Valentin, or three after she danced with Valentin? “Calm down, your muscles are tensing. You’re with the right guy, just stay with me.” Kaili felt her heart skip a beat. That voice. The guy spun her around and pulled her closer to him. She felt his hands firmly on her hips and it was odd. Kaili felt she knew those hands. Kaili looked up and only saw a pair of ocean blue eyes under that black mask. “Do I know you?” The guy smirked as he spun her around. No! She didn’t want him to leave her. Kaili was surprised as he spun her close to her again. “Calm down princess. Remember we have to dance together until the song is over.” Kaili couldn’t stop looking at him as her feet seemed to be floating above the ground. He was good as this dance without a doubt. “You’ve always been very paranoid when it comes to dancing. Remember that video we watched one night in our pajamas? You were so scared and where blushing the whole time because the guys were laughing at us.” Kaili stared at him. “Have you remembered yet, or do I have to keep giving you hints?” Kaili felt her heart stop as she remembered that night. “Dennis….” She felt a tear fall down her face. It was really him! No wonder she felt so small compared to him even though she had heels on. She always felt this way when she was with him. The group suddenly came back together and a dancer tugged at her dress. Kaili looked at her confused. “Change dresses!” “Oh right!” Kaili moved away from Andy holding her hand as her red dress turned into a black one just like the other girls. Kaili smiled at Valentin as his partner’s dress turned into a red one just like the one she had worn. Elizabeth smiled at her as she whispered. “Thank you.” Kaili moved out of the circle making space for Valentin and Elizabeth. Andy pulled him close to her his hand on her hips. She put her hand over his and felt safe. “I missed you.” “And you have no idea how much I’ve missed you.” Kaili intertwined her hand into his and smiled as he squeezed her hand. For now that was enough.
