Kaili frowned, “Sorry Ang, I tried to help, but I guess things got a bit out of control.” “It’s okay. It’s the thought that counts. Right?” Andy sat next to Kaili and smiled. “Hey.” Kaili moved away from him, “Hi…” “Sorry didn’t mean to-” “It’s okay.” “You’re Kaili…right?” She nodded. “Did you enjoy the concert?” “Yeah it was pretty cool.” “Have you been a fan of us for long?” Kaili hesitated; she might as well be sincere. “Not really, my parents are pretty strict. They don’t like me listening to this kind of music.” Andy thought for a minute. “Why is that?” She shrugged, “Not sure. They’re kind of special.” “Special?” “Well they’re business people. Mom is always telling me what to do and what to wear. Dad tries to help but it doesn’t work well.” “So your mom pretty much controls you?” Kaili laughed, “She thinks she does.”
Andy looked at her lost in thought. “So how’d you find out about us?” Kaili looked at Angela and Valentin. “Them.” “Did you like us from the start?” “Not really, since my mom was never found of this kind of music I guess I never really enjoyed it. I don’t hate it, but you know.” He nodded, “Then why did you come to the concert?” “Valentin insisted, he’s a big fan of you guys and Angela loves you guys. So I figured I should give it a try.” “Have you changed your mind about us?” “I like your music.” Andy grinned, “That’s great!” Kaili laughed, “I guess so.” “What do you like to do?” “Umm I like to read, spend time with Valentin and Angela.” “Do you like cheerleading?” Kaili looked at him confused, “What?”
“There you go being a whore again!” Kaili looked at Angela who was starting at Yumi’s friend, Pumpkin. (The girl that had been flirting with Valentin.) “Not again.” She walked towards them Andy following close behind. “Whoa, calm down girls.” Angela looked at Jinxx, “I would if this girl would back off and stop bothering Valentin. She knows he’s taken.” “Well if Valentin wants to be with her, it’s his choice right?” Valentin started to tell Pumpkin that he wasn’t interesting and she should stop bothering him when she kissed him. Kaili felt her adrenaline kick in. She pushed the girl away from Valentin. “I thought I told you to stay away from him.” Pumpkin laughed, “Please, as if he didn’t enjoy it.” Kaili looked at Valentin. Valentin shook his head furiously. She let out a soft sigh. “Do you like her?” “Of course not!” Pumpkin frowned. “Whatever, can we just, calm down?” Everyone agreed and Kaili grabbed Valentin’s hand. “I guess I just can’t keep my eyes off you for one second.” She screamed as Pumpkin grabbed her hair and pushed her to the ground.
“I’m getting kind of sick of you Kaili. Acting like you’re all that. Ever since I saw you in the line I knew you were nothing but a stuck up little bitch!” Kaili stared at her, “You don’t even know me, so I suggest you shut up.” Pumpkin laughed, “I don’t need to know you. Just by looking at you I can tell. Ever since you got here you’ve been wining about how you didn’t want to come to the concert and that it was going to take forever.” “Don’t put words in my mouth that I didn’t say.” Pumpkin looked at her friend, “Wasn’t she wining about how the band was horrible and she didn’t know why she even came?” The girl nodded along with some other girls. Angela stared at them, “You’re all such liars! You’re just jealous everyone likes Kaili better than you guys!” The girls gasped and stared, “do not!” “Of course you do. And you want to know why? Because Kaili isn’t like all those other fan girls who screams and laughs at anything the guys say. You girls act like they’re gods compared to everyone else. They’re not, they’re normal people too. Don’t you think they get sick of you wining, screaming, and giggling all the time? They want to be with people that like them for who they are, normal people, with normal feelings. Just because they’re in a band and they’re famous doesn’t mean they don’t know how to have normal conversations like you and I do every day.”
The guys looked at Angela surprised. Pumpkin scowled, “Please you’re one to talk, when you were acting just like them.” “I was, but then I realized that I was acting stupid. And I stared to treat them as friends, not just celebrities.” “You’re just trying to hide the fact that your little friend here just came because she was forced to.” Kaili laughed, “I admit I wasn’t very thrilled to come, because I don’t love the band, or worship it like you all do. But I do like it. And once I heard them sing, I started to realize why everyone likes them so much. Their music has meaning behind it, it’s like every song they sing is a story. And a lot of people can compare themselves to them. I don’t hate the band. I like it.” Pumpkin stared at Kaili as everyone started to take her side. “Look at you being all manipulative. You know exactly what to say to get everyone on your side. ” Andy looked at Pumpkin. “I think you should stop right now. You’re just trying to keep playing with your own words, trying to stop the fact that you already lost. You can’t stand to lose, can you? And when you find yourself cornered you try to play around with words and try to get everyone back on your side.” Pumpkin looked at him and then at everyone. She stared at Kaili, “This isn’t over.” With that said she ran out the door.
