I walk up the the scene of the party. Needless to say there were lots of intoxicated people, the place was trashed, There was a guy yelling on the kitchen counter top. my little sister was nowhere to be found. Exactly what I needed in a time like this. What I needed was to get my sister and leave.

“This is it” I say to Andy.

He takes me hands and walks around the craziness “Whoever this Ashley guy is, He sure does know how to throw a party”.

I smack Andy slightly and softly upside the head receiving a silly Andy look in return. Thats when I see Ashley off in his usual demeanor. He is the cutest boy I know. Even when he is an idiot I still love him. He sits in a chair, shirtless, surrounded by the neighborhood sluts all looking for a piece of him. His bass is in hand, Shredding like there no tomorrow.

“Hey Asshole!” I scream at him and his eyes dart to me, then he smiles.

“Little sis!” He says removing the ladies from him and getting up to greet me “Are you finally back in La? Looking to start a band with your old pal Ashley?”.

“No” I say “I’m here to get my sister”.

“Band?” Andy says to me.

I sigh. Ashley, after many a many times of asking. Has never gave up his efforts for me to be in a band with him. Its everyones dream to be in a famous band, Heck, its mine too. I dream to live in the spotlight. But whats the point?

“Hell yeah!” Ashley yells over the loud music with a beer bottle in hand “This little punk rock chick has a voice I tell ya!”.

“Shes never told me this” He says to Ashley but looking at me.

“She doesn't tell anyone” He says “Its because shes shy, You play-?”.

“Andy” finishes Andy extending his hand to Ashleys “I sing” He says.

I decide to leave the boys to their music and look for my sister. Being in a band is obviously there dreams, So who am I too destroy that?

I walk around the place smiling in memories.I had some of the best here. I remember being sad with Ashley, Partying with Ashley and my other friends. I was happy some of the time. I think for a moment, I was so negative. I never thought life was ever going to get better. Maybe it wasn't all the people around me, It was me making myself sad. Not california, Not my friends, Me. I smile.

“Fawn!” I hear and then see a little girl crash into my arms, Autumn “Please, she begs”.

I pet her small head in my arms “Please what?” I ask.

She looks up at me with small, sad, wet, pleading eyes “Don’t take me away” She says “I can’t leave california, You can’t take me away”.

I look her. I was finally starting to make a life for myself in New York. My job, My friends, Andy. And another boy I don’t dare leave. Braden. My sweet Braden.

“Darling” I say “My life is in New York”.

“My life is here” She protests.

“Your fifteen Autumn, You don't have a life” I say rolling my eyes.

“Your antisocial, neither do you Fawn” She says with a smirk.

I look at the little twerp. The girl has been through so much; Her parents have died, Mine have died, shes seen a lot of death. Shes just started high school, and she is in romance with a boy. Shes fifteen, is changing the best thing for her? Ripping her away from everything she has ever known?

Yet again, I have finally experienced some happiness in my life. I can say I have friends, I can say I have an amazing boyfriend, I say say Life is amazing.

What do I do?
