Happy (Andy Biersack love story)

After Andy leaves my apartment I run down the hall and knock on Braden’s door. And when he doesn't answer I knock again. I hear and grown and smile when I then hear the familiar shuffle of feet towards the door. He unlocks the door and his face rolls when he sees me.

“What do you want?” He says putting his hands over his chest.

“Grumpy” I say pushing past him into his kitchen “I'm lonely, Need a friend”.

“What?” He smirks “Andy leaves so you run over here? How wonderful it is to be the second choice”.

“Shut up” I say rolling my eyes “What was that whole lobby shit about?”.

He goes to the cupboard and takes out two mugs for our morning remedy. The sighs as he starts to pour the hot water for our tea. “I don't think he is right for you Fawn, He’s not good news” He says handing me my tea and sitting down beside me.

I take the tea and sit beside my friend. He looks genuinely concerned for my safety. He looks at me with wide open blue eyes “Look, Thank you Braden. I came to New York to be alone and find my happiness. Not be told what to do by some hippy flower child” I say messing up his hair.

He blushes lightly when my hand touches him. That’s when I realized something. Maybe it wasn't Andy he was afraid of at all. Maybe he wanted me. Maybe he was afraid of me being Ivy, not only afraid of him losing me to the harm’s way of Andy, But to his arms as well. It was a contrasting thought. Maybe my new friend didn't actually want to be my friend at all.

And I feel it too.

“I’m not a hippy!” He says in his defense “I just think you deserve better”.

“Okay” I say taking a sip of my tea “Hippy”.

I soon feel a pillow collide with my body, and in surprise I scream surely to wake up some neighbors at this morning hour.

“Hey!” I yell.

“Let’s go” He says standing up taking my hand and leading me towards the door “We are going to go explore some shit, Go get your bathing suit”.

I laugh, Smile, and run after the small boy

“Where are we” I laugh to Braden after exiting the car and chasing after Braden.

I look around. We are basically in the middle of nowhere. It’s so beautiful. I look around at the forest near me and think about how lucky I actually am to experience this beauty. The sun shines down on me. I feel carefree.

“In the middle of nowhere” He says taking me behind him and then looking me suddenly in the eyes “You said you came here to find Happiness right?”

He had the happy knack of making people like him. Braden had this smile to him that rubbed off on you and made you smile. It was impossible to be sad around him. Even though I wasn't sad, I was exactly the opposite. I could still indeed feel the depression in my veins. It’s like my heart was warm and overjoyed, but my brain was still sad. My overall mood is content, Content with Braden.

“Yes” I say still taking in the clean forest air.

“Here’s my happiness” He says pointing to the distance.

I walk a little, And then I finally see what he is talking about. A beautiful grotto and a waterfall in the front. A little lake and a river. It’s so beautiful. I am speechless to what I see. As we walk closer to the waterfall, I feel the spray of the waterfall against my face. As I look into the water, I see water so clear that I can see the bottom.

“How beautiful is it Fawn?” He says almost speechless looking at the scenery.

“It’s amazing” I say.

Braden quickly takes off his shirt, and I am surprised to see his almost masculinity as he does. It’s nothing compared to Andy. Nothing could be. But Braden has his own naive charm. If Andy was taking his shirt off it would be to get a rise out of me. He would give me a devilish grin and try and turn me on. Braden however, would take his shirt off because he is carefree. He would not do so to get a ride out of me. He would do it just to take off his shirt. This is exactly what I like about Braden, He doesn’t try too hard. Andy doesn’t need to try to drive me crazy; He just knows how to push my buttons.

Braden smiles and the jumps head first into the water, soon popping up with wet hair off in every direction. His smile is happy and carefree. I smile, take off my shirt, and jump in after him. I smile the most genuine smile I ever have before.
