The Shadow Walkers

"What do you mean dominant?" I asked with my brow arched playing with the chain around my neck. "I never signed up for that."

Andy shook his head slowly brushing his thumb down my collar bone to where my tank top stopped. "I said no. But like we said we voted. The counsel consist out of eight. Two said no. six said yes."

"Who said no?" I whispered glaring at him through my lashes.

"Ashley." Of course. "And me." My head shot up dazed and stunned spreading across my face. "I wanted you to be mine. I was overruled." He breathed brushing his jet hair black. "You have to sign so you can be a shadow walker. And be part of the counsel. Seeing you will take over Ella when she retires."

"So what the hell does that mean for you and me. Are we equal?" He groaned and nodded dreading it the moment i asked the question. He licked his lips returning back to the chair spreading his legs as he gulped the whiskey. "I wanted to be yours."

"Sucks to me us right?" He chuckled biting the bottom of his lip.

"I don't want to be a dominant Andrew. Yes i love to dominate but not in the bedroom. I like the arrangement. You being in control." I admitted jumping of the table gulping hard as i shift on my feet. "Please talk to me."

My whole perspective on Andrew changed in a second. I was not going to be his pet, someone will be mine. And now i sad that i was not going to be his, and only his. "I promised you that i will never hurt you and i will keep that promise Max." He actually said my name, and not my full one. My breathed was hitching uncontrollably, trying to contain the tears that wanted to break free. "We can still be together you know." Andrew whispered softly.

"Sure enough there will be a rule for that?" I asked with my arms crossed. "Mm?"

"I made it. A few years back i was informed that Ella and Jake had a relationship. Confused as hell who was the dominant in the bedroom." He chuckled. "They are still together; acting dumb is one of my strong suits so i just avoid it." Andrew looked up and cocked his head to one side. "I am willing to disband that rule if you agree to the terms of my liking and satisfaction."

"You said you don't have feelings for me." I whispered lowering mine gazing at my black painted toe nails clicking my tongue to and fro. "No feelings at all."

"I am developing feelings for you." Andrew mumbled making me look up. "I can't have- well i wont have sex-" he stopped and shook his head. "Fuck other woman. I just can't. I only want to have you and no one else." He said with a blank expression. "I- i don't smile, or laugh. But somehow you make it possible. Every time i am near you i just want too..." He drifted of leaning forward placing the tumbler on the table before leaning back.

What should i say but just bob my head. Yes i wanted him so, so bad. These few days i slept with his tie once again, not even washing it; creepy non the less but it kept me warm inside. "What do you think of me changing my look? You know brownish black hair?" I asked trying to lighten the mood.

"I don't like brunettes. My wife was one; but i am sure you will look amazing." He whispered. "Why are you changing the subject Maxine Jones?"

"Cause i am thinking." I admitted brushing my dirty blonde hair back. "Really hard now." The dogs barked knowing the pizza man has arrived. "Give me a minute."

I walked out of the kitchen towards the door opening it seeing the dominoes pizza guy with a crooked smile. "Hey Maxine." He mumbled handing me the pizza. I grabbed a fifty from the small desk handing it to him giving a salute before slamming the door shut with my foot.

"No boys, mine." I laughed softly walking back to the kitchen seeing Andy still in the same position with his head lowered gazing at his tattooed hands. "You want a slice?"

"No thank you." He stood up rolling up his sleeve. "I have to go. Come see me tomorrow."

"At the house?"

"No." Shaking his head. "My building."

I gave a snicker placing the box on the counter. "Which one Andrew, you have plenty."

"Revolver."

"The taco place on third?"

A ghost of a smile came on his face. "No Maxine the magazine. I really need an answer. I don't care what you choose that involve the shadow walkers, i want and answer involving you and i. And hoping its a yes." He leaned in and kissed my cheek softly before walking out of my house leaving me with a heavy heart.

"Son of a bitch."
