A New Beginning
Chapter 28
I have no clue how Ben and Kara met, or if they're more than friends, but it's making me pissed. I see the way he blushes when he's around her and I see the glances he sneaks at her and shit. I think that Ben guy is only invited me because he wanted to make me jealous. He also invited me to go to dinner with Kara and him Friday night. Which is two days away.
I try not to get to frustrated over that dumb ass as Kara and me head back to my place. The rain starts to come down harder. I sneak a peek at Kara fixated on the rain. Hearing it hit the window is quite calming. But, I'd rather be holding Kara's hand walking on the beach one sunny day. But, this is enough for me. Just being with her. It's hard to explain.
I pull into the drive way to see CC is gone again. Probably chilling at some fancy restaurant with his girlfriend. I open the door for Kara and we rush to the front door. The rain is really pouring now. It's like a hurricane oh my God. But, we're not near an ocean so it's not possible. I finally get the door open and she puts her back pack on the table and crashes on the couch. "God, finals were so tuff today. I think I did
okay though. Thank God it's all over." She says from the living room.
"Yeah, I think I did terrible, but I think I'll defiantly pass." I say as I sit next to her. I lean back and gaze at her. All my muscles relax as we stare at each other for a few moments. Kara smirks and quickly turns her head away. I bite my lip to keep from smiling. God, I don't know what I would do without her sometimes. I know we've only been friends for little over a month, but I already have a huge crush on her.
"So what do you wanna do? I can think of a few nice things we could do." I say with a sly smile. "Ugh, Andy, you creep." Kara says with a laugh. "Watch a batman movie maybe?" I smile, "Sounds like a good idea to me. Which one?" She looks over at my stash of movies. "The one with Heath Ledger, The Dark Knight Rises." I look at the ground. Hmm, I'm trying to remember if that's the movie with Heath in it. "I don't think that's the movie with Heath." She shakes her head. "I'm totally positive it is, I know my Heath Ledger movies." She starts to rummage through her purse. "Well, I know my batman movies. How about we make a bet. If I win I get to make out with you for ten minutes." She pulls her phone out and looks at me with a shocked, surprised look on her face.
