Andy's P.O.V
We finally made it to the ice cream shop. We all got cones and we all got different flavors. I got chocolate fudge with brownie bites, Megan got chocolate chip cookie dough, Sandra got vanilla, and Erin got chocolate mint. Megan and Sandra sat next to each other while Erin sat next to me. We just started talking about random things for a while. Until Sandra came up with an interesting question for Erin.

"So, Erin. How is your life like?" She asked. "Well, not as easy as you think." Erin replied. "What do you mean by that?" Megan asked. "Lets just say that i deal with a lot of family problems" Erin answered. "Erin? Is there something we should know?" I asked. She said nothing, but she pulled her sleeves up and her arms revealed scars and bruises "Oh my god, what happened?" Sandra asked. Erin's eyes started turning red and tears streamed down her face. "Im sorry guys but I have to go" she said while getting up and leaving. "ERIN WAIT!!" I yelled while running after her.

She ran and ran until she hit the park. She ran up to a tree and sat there crying. "Erin? Please come down! I just want to talk!" I said. "Why the hell would you want to talk to a girl like me? I am a fucking mess Andy. What is the point anyway? Why would you even follow me?" She asked. "Because I care!! I know we only met for like 4 hours but I do care for you Erin and I will do what it takes to make you happy" I answered. "Please, come down and talk or I will climb up there." I warned her. She sighed and slowly came down from the branch. As soon as she stepped foot on the grass I hugged her tight as she sobbed into my chest. I sat down on the grass and put Erin in my lap and dug her head into my chest. I stroked her hair and rocked her sideways so she could calm down.

She started to relax and try to pull herself together. "Better?" I asked. She nodded and I hugged her more. And I realized how much of a connection I have with Erin. We only knew each other for a day and her I am hugging her while she's crying into my chest. It's like we are meant to be, how is it even possible? Yeah I love her and everything but I don't know if she loves me back. But now to think of it. Now that I don't have that lying bitch Scout anymore, I can love her all I want. but i'm just a bit scared she will reject me. But I want to give it time too, I can probably ask her out soon if things between me and Erin get better.

I was dragged out of my thinking when Erin's phone rang. "Hey mom," She answered into the phone. I heard yelling coming from the phone. Now I know what is going on, her parents abuse her. "I'm sorry mom I lost the key to the house and I couldn't get in. I'll be home in a minute. Bye mom." She finished while hanging up the phone. "Who says you're going home?" I said. "Where else am I supposed to go Andy?" she asked. "With me." I said. "You're insane, but its the best idea ever" she smiled. I pressed my forehead against hers. Our lips just inches apart. I could just kiss her right now. I stared into her eyes, and I got closer. our lips are so close so I closed my eyes and our lips finally met. We pulled away and smiled. "We should probably get some things from your house" I said.
