An Angels Last Fall

“Left! No that left! What the hell?! Break! Jesus Christ! Key! Stop!” Juliet screamed as I was in the driver seat of her car. “Have you stopped?” She asked peeking through her hands. “Put it in park and turn it off.”

At least that much I could do. I got out of the car and switched spots with her. “Sorry…” I said handing her the keys after we had sat down.

“Maybe I’ll just take you to drivers ed.” She nodded again and again turning the car on and driving out of the empty parking lot.

She drove us to her favorite coffee shop and ordered the normal. A smoothie for me and the strongest coffee they had for her. We sat down and she sighed gulping most of it down. We stay silent for most of the time. We were about to leave when a man with reddish hair sat next to us.

“Hey guys.” He said resting his hands on the table.

He had tattoos of starts and other things on his arms. I wondered if he and the man in black were related. This one was wearing a lot of black too. And even had black makeup on his eyes. I took a sip of my drink examining him while he greeted Juliet.

“This is Ciarra,” Juliet said pointing to me.

He waved at me, “I’m Ashley. So Andy was asking if you could help out on some vocals. Well Andy didn’t ask I did.”

Who was Andy? “I don’t sing anymore Ash, I’ve told you this.”

“Fine, so tour is being put off for a while. At least until our manager in the UK gets his shit together.” Ashley said fiddling with a sugar pack.

“Who’s Andy?” I asked after a few minutes of them talking about music.

“My ex. You’ve seen him.” Juliet said going back to her drink. Then her eyes lit up and she stood and pulled Ashley to the side.

Andy…it seemed to fit him somehow. I watched them as they talked. I couldn’t hear a word they were saying so I tried not to bother anymore. For some reason I had a feeling it was about Juliet wanting me to meet Andy. I sent up a small prayer to help me stray from temptation if she succeeded in her mission.
