Let You Down

"What the hell Nyx!! Why don't you fucking just die!!" My mother's scream echos around my room, as my father brings the whip back down on my back. Over and over and over again, my blood pooling on the floor. Why can I die?

"Nyx!!" Ashley's voice echos through my head as I beg for these terrors to stop. I cling to him in terror, my body shaking.

"Nyx... I love you too..."
