Remembering Yesterday

Zoey frowned as she felt someone shaking her. “Zoey…” She slapped someone’s hand away as they tried to wake her up. She didn’t want to wake up yet; she wanted to know what happened with Kathie. “Zoey, sweetie, wake up!” Zoey’s eyes flew open and she sat up furiously. “What!?” She saw his smile first. “Well I see someone doesn’t like being woken up.” She looked at Andy confused. “What are you doing here? Wait, don’t answer that, no, yes, answer that and this: How did you find me?” Andy held his hands out and helped her stand up. “We were on our way to your house.” Zoey looked at him confused when he said we she looked behind him and saw Jake and Ashley a few feet away. She heard Jinxx laugh as he ran out into the clearing a tired CC following close behind. “What are you guys doing here!?” CC grinned as he took her phone out of his pocket. “Missing anything lately?” He held it up as if it were a prize. “You guys stole my phone!” Ashley walked towards her frowning. “No, just forgot it to give it back.” “We would never steal.” She looked at Jinxx frowning. “And you guys wanted to give it back?” Jake nodded, “Yup! We figured it was the best excuse to see you again.” Zoey raised an eyebrow, “Well I don’t really live in this clearing. So how’d you guys find me?” CC grinned, “We were on our way to your house and just happen to be driving by the cemetery entrance.” Ashley nodded, “And we saw this cute cheerleader sitting on the street that looked like she had just run a marathon.” “It looked like you were running away from something.” Zoey looked at Jinxx, “I decided to go for a run. Wait, how do you guys know where I live!?” Ashley grinned, “Well you happen to have left your facebook open on your phone. And we talked to John.” “He knew you guys had my phone!?” Jinxx grinned, “Sure did. He’s the one who helped us with our surprise visit.” “And boy are we surprised, we never thought we’d find you in a clearing in the back of a cemetery.” “But how do you know it was me who was sitting at the entrance?” Andy grinned, “We called James out of curiosity and when he told us you had run away and didn’t answer the phone he had let you borrow we knew it was you we saw.” Zoey rubbed her head. This was just too much to take in.
Zoey walked into the guys touring bus and stopped in front of the driver’s seat. Jinxx ran into her and caused her to fall down. Ashley laughed and fell on top of Jinxx who was on top of her. CC grinned, “That looked like fun!” He fell on top of Ashley and laughed. Zoey tried to crawl away but the guys let their weight fall. “Get off! You guys are awfully heavy for being so skinny!” CC laughed as he got off. “Don’t be tricked by our appearance. He helped Ashley get up and Andy walked in with Jake close behind. He raised an eyebrow as he saw Jinxx on top of Zoey. “Do I even want to know?” Jinxx laughed as he got up, “I guess Zoey was surprised by the mess we have in here she froze on her tracks. I wasn’t looking and ran into her causing her to fall and then fall which made me fall on top of her.” Jake laughed, “Wow dude, that was an awfully long sentence. Does your brain hurt?” Jinxx stared at Jake. The guys laughed and Andy helped Zoey up. “I know it’s a mess in here, but don’t worry, we’ll clean it up.” Zoey shook her head, “It’s not that. I forgot my car.” Andy grinned, “No problem, we’ll go back for it.” She nodded and looked around the RV. It really was a mess, there were some beer cans on the floor and the table was full of candy wrappers and a burger king bag. “I see you guys eat and drink healthy.” Jake grinned, “You bet.”
Zoey pointed to the McDonalds where she had parked her car and frowned when she didn’t see her car where she had left it. “Huh, that’s weird.” CC looked out the window confused, “What?” “My car isn’t there.” Ashley laughed, “Don’t tell me someone stole it!” Zoey shook her head, “I have the keys.” Jinxx looked at Zoey’s phone as it started to ring. “It’s James. Hello? Yeah we found her. It looks like someone stole her car. Oh…Well do they know she’s with us? Okay. Well we have to take her home, she doesn’t have a car. Well if you don’t tell them we sure won’t. I don’t see how they can know she’s with us. Really!? Wow that’s a little over the top don’t you think? Yeah okay we’ll be careful. See ya soon.” Everyone’s eyes were on Jinxx as he hung up. He looked at everyone confused, “Um..hi?” Zoey rolled her eyes. “What did he say?” Jinxx sat down on the table booth and let out a soft sigh. “Your parents have your car. They tracked it as soon as they found out you left school. They wanted to put James in jail, accusing him of kidnapping you.” “That’s bullshit!” Zoey shook her head and watched as Jinxx opened the window and threw her phone out. “Hey!” Jinxx looked at her, “They’re tracking your phone. They think you ran off with us, after they searched James’ house and looked at his calls.” “Why on earth would she think that!?” Jinxx shrugged, “Who knows. But they have the police looking for you. It’s better if your phone is out of this bus so they can’t know where we are.” Zoey shook with anger. “Well you guys have to leave me here! I’ll call them and tell them where I’m at!” Andy shook his head, “I can’t do that. I want to make sure you get home safely.” Zoey stared at him, “I don’t want you guys to go to jail!” Andy shrugged, “That’s not going to happen. They don’t have proof you’re with us. We’ll leave you a few streets from your house and let you go, but only then. Not before.” Zoey rolled her eyes, “You’re crazy! What if the police find the RV and stop us?” “We’ll hide you.” “Andy this is ridiculous!” “I don’t care. I’m taking you home and there’s no way you can stop me."
