Remembering Yesterday

“I’m sorry! Are you okay?” She froze as she heard his deep seductive voice. She slowly looked up into a pair of icy blue eyes. “Um, yes.” Andy held his hand at the girl before him. She was beautiful, and those eyes. “Have I seen you before?” Zoey took his hand as he helped her up, “Um, I don’t think so. Thanks.” He nodded and looked at her closely, “I could have sworn I saw you before.” “Well, I just saw you play live, maybe you saw me in the crowd.” He snapped his fingers as realization hit, “That’s right; you were the girl who was dancing and singing along like there was no one watching.” Zoey laughed a bit embarrassed, “Um yeah.” “So tell me, did you enjoy the concert?” “Not at all, that’s why I was dancing and singing along like a crazy fan.” “Touché, now tell me, did you sneak in?” She scowled, “Hardly, I have a right to be here.” She took her VIP pass from her purse and grinned. “Ah alright. Why are you out here thought, shouldn’t you be where the security guard left you?” “I went to get my bag.” Andy looked down at Zoey’s bag and raised an eyebrow, “Are you planning on camping here? That’s a pretty big bag you got there.” “No! I had this because I left school before coming here.” “When did you get here?” “About seven.” “So you left school at what, six?” “Yeah…” “Wow, when I was younger school usually ended at three.” Zoey rolled her eyes and smiled. “There was a game today so I had to stay.” “What are you the school mascot?” Andy chuckled softly. Zoey laughed and scowled, “No! I’m a cheerleader.” He whistled softly, “Wow that sure is something.” “I know right.” “Well I think that’s enough talking for now. How about we join the rest of the band?” Zoey nodded and followed him to where the band was. She felt like Andy had been her friend for a long time, she didn´t even feel nervous.

“Hey Andy!” “Thought you got lost man.” “Took you long enough.” Andy was greeted by his friends. “Sorry guys, I ran into someone on my way to smoke a cig.” “And who’s this lovely lady?” Andy looked at the girl he had just met remembering he had never asked her what her name was. “Umm, sorry I never got your name.” “Zoey.” Zoey looked at James who was talking to CC. James looked up as he felt someone watching him and he waved. “Zo! Finally, I thought you got lost.” “You two know each other?” Ashley looked from Zoey to James as if trying to know what the relationship between them was. “Yeah, he’s my best friend and my hero. He’s the one that got the tickets to see you guys.” “Well three cheers for the hero!” They all clapped and James looked down blushing. “Do you guys want anything to drink?” “Sure, what do you have?” Jinxx grinned. “The best damn thing you’ll ever drink, bottled water.” Everyone laughed and Zoey smiled, “Sure, sounds good.” Jake took two water bottles out of a fridge and tossed one at James and the other to Zoey. “Nice catch!” Zoey shrugged, “It was nothing.” She opened the bottle and took a huge gulp. “You got some strong reflexes, do you play any sports?” Zoey looked at Ashley. She opened her mouth to say something but Andy interrupted, “She’s a cheerleader.” The guys whistled. “I’ve always wanted to go out with a cheerleader before.” James looked at CC confused, “Why didn’t you?” CC shrugged, “Wasn’t the most popular guy in high school.” “Can you do a backflip, or however it’s called?” Zoey smiled at Ashley, “Sure. And you’re right it’s a backflip.” The guys backed up against the wall giving Zoey some space. She took a deep breath and put her hands in front of her. She counted in her mind and then jumped and did a backflip. She landed solidly on her feet with her hands in front of her. The room was silent for a few seconds and everyone stared clapping. “That was awesome!”

“Can you do some cheerleading moves?” Zoey looked at Jake then at James and he nodded reassuringly. “Okay.” She did a clasp and then side lounge. “Give me a B!” She did a B and the guys chanted B. She did a punch as she called out, “Give me a V!” She made a V and the guys chanted V. She did an overhead clasp and called out, “Give me a B!” The guys chanted B. “Now put it all together and what does that spell?” She and the guys chanted, “Black Veil Brides, Black Veil Brides!” Zoey did a bow and arrow, then a clasp, a touchdown, ending it with punch and then did a front flip. “Black Veil Brides!” The guys clapped and she grinned, “Thanks.” “That was awesome!” “I think we have our very own cheerleader.” Andy chuckled, “Enough of that. Is there anything you guys want to ask us?” Zoey sat in between CC and James thinking. “Boxers or briefs?” The guys laughed and they answered in unison “Briefs.” “Yeah, with these pants we can’t really wear boxers.” Jake explained. The interview went on for about half an hour from both parts, James and Zoey asked some questions then the guys asked some as well.
