Bullets in a Music Box

Calgary, Alberta

The bus bounced its way along the road towards Calgary while I sat in the back lounge with Andy. The rest of the two bands were either in the bunks or in the living area, but Andy and I decided to have quiet time together in the back lounge. It has been two weeks since the Kerrang Awards and things have gotten progressively better between Andy and I, not back to what they were, but better. Andy was sitting on the other side of the couch, looking down at his phone, while I was sitting on my side looking at my own. His phone had made a noise saying he had a message and mine made the noise saying that I had a twitter notification. As I checked the notification, I felt Andy shift on the couch and heard him sigh. I glanced up over my phone and saw him staring at me with his eyes squinted.

“What?” I asked.

“I was thinking that we somehow kept the whole thing from the media, how did we accomplish that?” He asked as he crossed his arms.

“We kept us away from the media for a bit, we know how to be secretive, why?” I asked as I set my phone on my lap.

“It was just a thought,” he shrugged before getting off the spot he was in and coming closer to me, which meant he basically plopped himself on my legs, and looked up at me. “Now, I know that we aren’t technically back to where we were but, I was thinking that we should do what we used to do.”

“Write songs?” I asked. He nodded and I rolled my eyes.

“But I’m not in the mood to write songs,” I whined and he smirked.

“There’s the whine. How much longer until we get to the damn venue?” Andy asked.

“Um,” I paused as I looked at my phone. “Four hours.”

“Oh my god, this bus is pissing me off. Why did we decide to take the bus from Ottawa instead of fly directly from London to Calgary?” He asked.

“That was not our decision, that was Jon’s, and at this point, I kinda wanna stab him to death with a spoon,” I said.

“A spoon? How the fuck would that do anything?” Andy chuckled.

“It wouldn’t do much at first, except hurt, then when he does puncture his skin it would be ten times more painful, that is what it would do,” I smiled and ran my hand through Andy’s hair. It was getting long. I haven’t quite decided if he should cut it or not. He is sexy as fuck with both long and short hair, but I haven’t decided which way he looks better.

“You’re thinking about something what is it?” He asked. I looked down at him and raised an eyebrow.

“How the fuck do you know that I am thinking about something?” I asked.

“You’re biting your lip. You bite the middle of your lower lip when you are thinking about something. Spill the beans Sadee,” he said.

“I was thinking about whether you should cut your hair or not,” I said. He gave me this look and I smiled.

“You are thinking about whether I should cut my hair?” He asked. I nodded and leaned forward to give him a kiss. When I leaned back up, Andy followed me with his eyes.

“Should I cut my hair?” He asked after a few minutes.

“Well, you do look hot as fuck with short hair, but I love your long hair. Cause I can run my fingers through it. And I know you love it when I run my fingers through your hair cause you make this really content face when I do,” I explained and he sighed.

“Half and half,” he said.

“What?” I asked.

“I will shave half my head and give the other side a trim, so you can still run your fingers through my hair,” he said.

“I think I can handle that. Am I allowed to come out on stage and sing with you tonight?” I asked.

“Whenever I suggest that, you say no because you are too tired from performing your own set,” he said.

“I am feeling hyper and energized today. Just two songs, that’s it,” I said.

“I don’t care, you just have to ask Jon, cause in the end, it’s his decision,” Andy sighed and sat up. He turned to face me and I pulled my legs up to my chest. The door to the lounge opened and I saw Zara standing there with Callum.

“What?” I asked.

“Andy, we need to have an emergency band meeting, get out,” Zara said bluntly and I burst out laughing.

“Pushy. How the hell does CC put up with you?” Andy asked.

“Carefully. Now, out, before I force you,” she said. He chuckled as he got off the couch and left the room. Zara quickly closed the door and Callum and her both sat down and looked at me.

“Why an emergency band meeting?” I asked.

“We have an issue?” Zara said.

“What kind of issue?” I asked.

“Well, Jackson is saying shit about us on Twitter, and our fans are believing it,” Callum said.

“What?” I asked as I grabbed my phone and went to Jackson’s profile. He is saying that we kicked him out of the band because Black Veil Brides didn’t want him on the tour bus. As well as saying that I am a controlling bitch who constantly requests expensive shit and to be carried around all the time.

“What the fuck is his problem? He knows exactly why he is out of the band. It wasn’t our choice, or decision. Tyler did it,” I said.

“Exactly, now. What are we going to do about it?” Zara asked.

“Did you talk to Jon?” I asked.

“No, not yet. We wanted to know what you wanted to do about it first,” she said.

“I mean, we can tweet that what he is saying is not true. That he was dropped from the band because of personal reasons, which is the truth. That’s kind of all we can do,” I said.

“Okay, Callum, go tell Jon about the tweets,” Zara said. Callum groaned before getting off the couch and leaving the room. She looked at me and squinted her eyes.

“What?” I asked.

“You and Andy were in here for like five hours, alone. What did you do?” She asked.

“We talked, and laughed, and messed around on our phones, why?” I asked.

“That’s it? No sex? No nothing?” She asked.

“Seriously? Is that all you think we do? We are a mature couple who do more than fuck each other,” I laughed.

“But you two are also in your early twenties and you are horny as fuck,” she said.

“Do you and CC fuck all the time and do nothing else?” I asked.

“Well, we fuck, quite a lot, but we do other things sometimes,” she said. I rolled my eyes and got off the couch and left the back lounge. As I walked to the front, I stretched and yawned. Andy was sitting on the couch in the living area next to Ashley. The two of them were watching a video on Ashley’s phone. I sat down next to Andy and stretched my legs out in front of me.

“I need to get off this bus. My joints are going to implode soon,” I complained and CC looked at me.

“I agree. We’ve been on this bus for almost two days straight,” he said.

“We only have a half hour left, calm down,” I heard Jon say from the front.

“It is a half hour too long my friend. I am going to go crazy,” I said and felt Andy put his hand on my knee.

“You aren’t going to go crazy,” he said.

“How do you know?” I asked.

“Cause you’ve been on a bus for a longer period of time before,” he said. I sighed and leaned my head on his shoulder. It is really nice to be back with him again.

My feet were bouncy as I stood on sidestage, waiting for the techs to call it. I bounced in my spot, with my mic. Someone walked up next to me as I bounced. I looked to the side and saw Zara with her drumsticks.

“Hello Zara,” I said.

“Why are you so hyper?” She asked.

“Don’t know. Don’t care. This is amazing energy for this show. Maybe it’s because we haven’t had a show in like three weeks and I need something to do,” I said.

“Probably. Andy was looking for you, by the way,” she said.

“Well Andy can wait till our set is done. If I go find him, you might not see either of us for a while, if you know what I mean,” I winked at her and she laughed.

“I told you, you were horny as fuck,” she laughed.

“What can I say? Sex is amazing,” I smirked and she rolled her eyes. I watched as the sound tech gave me a thumbs up and then the lights went down. The crowd began to scream as I watched Zara walk out to her drum set and hit it a few times. Then Callum went out from the other side of the stage, then I skipped out. The crowd was going wild, it was exhilarating.

“Good evening Calgary!” I yelled into the mic and the crowd screamed back. I smirked and the music to Where I Belong started. I bobbed my head to the drum beat and waited for my cue. Just before it hit, I walked to the center of the stage and and put my mic in the mic stand. Then I started to sing. As I sang, I could hear the crowd singing along. It was a good feeling. I stopped singing, and let the crowd sing the song for a little while. A big smile was plastered on my face. When I went back into the song, I grabbed the mic from the stand and jumped around the stage. I was overly awake and excited for some reason. When the song ended, I was smiling big and the crowd was cheering.

“Wow, you guys are amazing! I have never had the crowd sing along to one of our songs, thank you Calgary. This next one is called Memory,” I said and the music started. As the song went on, the crowd once again sang along. It was almost bringing tears to my eyes.

As the set continued, and the crowd sang with the songs, I was getting more and more excited. I kinda want to go down to the merch table after this set to sign some stuff and get pictures. When our set ended, I bowed and skipped off stage. Andy was watching us with his arms crossed and a big smile on his face. I skipped in front of him and kissed his nose.

“The crowd was singing along, good job,” he said.

“I know they were, it almost made me cry,” I said.

“It’ll happen again. Imagine what will happen after you guys release that EP you are always talking about, the crowds will not shut up,” he said.

“I am overly excited about that. So, did you talk to Jon about me singing two songs with you?” I asked.

“I did, and he doesn’t care. As long as it is somewhere in the middle,” he said. I shrugged and wrapped my arms around him.

“So, what is with this whole twitter rumor thing?” He asked.

“What twitter rumor?” I asked.

“Apparently there is a rumor going around that you are a complete bitch to the crew and to the bands you are touring with, is it true?” He asked.

“I don’t know, is it?” I asked. He rolled his eyes and wrapped his arms around me.

“If you were a bitch to all of us, I think we would laugh at you,” he said.

“Why would you laugh at me?” I asked.

“Cause you are so small and cute,” he said.

“I am not cute. I am hot as fuck,” I said.

“Yes you are,” he said. Damn man is calling me cute. Oh, he should just wait, I’ll show him I’m not cute.

Notes

I give you some cute moments between Andy and Sadee. Cause I figured you guys deserved it, after the shit that just went down. But, I am thinking of doing something with the whole Jackson saying shit on twitter. But I don't know exactly what yet. Hope you enjoyed it!!!

QUESTION TIME: Thank you to the people who have suggested places, I actually used one of the suggestions, but I need more. In Canada and the US. I want to do like four more tour dates, so I need four cities. What cities do you want to see them do to?? Also, what kind of shit should Jackson be saying on twitter?
