Bullets in a Music Box

Back Home

This morning when I woke up, I took one look outside, and groaned. It was pouring rain. Perfect. I climbed out of the bed and walked over to the guest room to check on Charlie. He was still sleeping, but he was curled into a ball on the bed. I sighed before walking into the room to wake him up. The burial is at nine and it's seven thirty right now. As I shook his shoulder, he groaned and tried to push me off.

"Charlie, come on, we have to get going," I said and he stopped moving before looking at me, his cheeks were tear stained.

"I don't want to go though," he said.

"I know, but we have to. You gotta be there for Cienne," I said. He sighed before sitting up and pulling his knees to his chest.

"Am I supposed to wear what I wore last night?" He asked. That's right, I just kinda brought him over here.

"Um, let's go see what Andy has, even though you are like a foot shorter than him," I said and pulled him off of the bed and into my bedroom. I think Andy has a something for Charlie to wear.

"You might have to wear your pants, but, I think Andy has a shirt that is appropriate for this," I said as I disappeared into the closet and found the long sleeve shirt I was looking for. Andy hardly ever wears it, so why not? I handed it to Charlie and he quickly pulled it on and I nodded.

"Perfect, alright, I gotta get dressed, so go grab something to eat from fridge," I said and he left the room. A sigh escaped my lips while I stood at the end of my bed. From the nightstand, I heard my phone begin making noises. Phone call. I grabbed it and answered it quickly after seeing it was Andy.

"Hello good sir," I said.

"You sound cheery. What's wrong?" He asked.

"Nothing, I'm just, awake at seven thirty in the morning and my mind has not fully woken up yet," I said.

"Reasonable. So how did the funeral go?" He asked.

"I cried, a lot, I stormed out of the place with Charlie, and then I might have gotten into a big fight with my sister at her house," I said.

"Oh, well, um, what did you say?" He asked.

"I called her out on her faults, then I might have called her a bad mother and a terrible person," I said.

"Sadee, that was not very nice," he said.

"I know, but, it just doesn't make sense to me that I was the one comforting Charlie when I've only known him like three or so months," I said.

"What did she say?" He asked.

"She yelled at me and then I told her that she is just like our mother and that she will be dead to me after the lunch thing," I said.

"She did have it coming," he said.

"Exactly. So, what are you doing?" I asked.

"Waiting for the interviewer to call us into the room," he said.

"You have an interview today?" I asked.

"With AP Magazine, but it's more casual," he said.

"Whatever, have fun and don't fuck it up," I said. He chuckled and then I heard someone say something.

"Who was that?" I asked.

"Jon, he said that we have like five minutes before we are to head in," he said.

"I'm supposed to be getting dressed right now," I said.

"Well, put me on speaker and get dressed," he said. I laughed for a second before putting my phone on speaker and setting it down on the bed and walking over to my dresser.

"What are you wearing today?" Andy asked.

"Leggings and a long sleeve shirt, because it is fucking pouring outside," I said.

"That is terrible weather for a burial," he said.

"I know, it must be a sign," I said. He chuckled a little before I heard Ashley in the background.

"What does Mr. Purdy want?" I asked.

"He wanted to say hi," Andy said and I smiled.

"Hi Ash, I'll be back on tour after the break," I said.

"You will?" Andy asked.

"Why do you sound so surprised?" I asked. To be honest, I thought he'd be happy to be having me back on tour.

"Well, I figured you would want to be home with family for a while," he said.

"Considering my sister is dead to me, Gustav is dead, and Charlie is basically shutting down, I don't really have a need to stay here," I said.

"Unlike your boyfriend here, I am excited about this!" I heard Ashley say with a laugh.

"Be nice to Andy," I smiled and then I heard Jon clearly say that they all had to go into the room.

"Well, I guess I will talk to you later. Watch the interview on AP's website tomorrow," he said. I chuckled and cleared my throat.

"Of course. Love you dork," I said.

"Love you Miss Thang," he said and hung up. Where did Miss Thang come from? He has never called me that. Whatever. I pulled on my cardigan and then my shoes before grabbing my phone and walking down the stairs to the living room. Charlie was eating a piece of pineapple and I chuckled.

"Are you ready?" I asked.

"Nope, but I have no choice," he said and stood from the couch. Charlie needs something to get his mind off of this. Then it hit me, he should come on tour, there's a random extra bunk that holds junk, Charlie can have it.

"So kid, I have to ask, but, what do you think about going on tour with Black Veil Brides?" asked. He gave me this really excited look.

"Really? Would they let me go?" He asked.

"I can ask Jon and Tyler, but I think they would love to have you," I said and we climbed into the car.

"That would make my life. Please make it happen," he said.

"I will see what I can do, but Jon loves me, so I think there is a good possibility, but do not be disappointed if they say no," I said as I drove down the road.

"I know. I would be able to write so many awesome songs with them," he said.

"You are so right, I don't know why I didn't think of this before," I smiled as I pulled into a spot at the cemetery. There were a bunch of cars there, but I didn't see Lauren's. We climbed out of the car and began walking to the building when I saw that blonde girl Lauren was talking about.

"Is that your sister?" I asked Charlie. He looked and then got a surprised face.

"Dani?" He whispered to himself before walking over to her and wrapping his arms around her without saying anything. She was surprised at first, but then she wrapped her own arms around him.

"They haven't seen each other in a long time," I heard someone say in a thick German accent. I turned my head and saw the brunette that Lauren talked about.

"You're their mom, aren't you?" I asked.

"I am. And you are?" She asked.

"Lauren's sister," I said and she nodded.

"Have you seen Lauren?" She asked.

"I just got here, but no, I don't see her car. I kinda wonder where she is," I said and Delmira nodded.

"Charlie looks happy," she said. I scoffed and then she looked at me.

"What does that mean?" She asked.

"Oh, um, well, he's not exactly the happiest person, but hopefully he will be soon," I said.

"Why isn't he happy?" She asked.

"Oh, just normal teenage stuff, but yeah," I said and then saw Charlie looking at me and then his mom. I walked over to him and smiled.

"Why were you talking to my mother?" He asked.

"She came up to me, don't worry," I said. He nodded and then we walked into the building. There were just a few scattered people in there, no one I know. We sat in there for like thirty minutes before we all began walking with the casket to the burial site. I still haven't seen Lauren, and it's kind of worrying me. When we stopped, Charlie gripped my arm with strong hands. I put my arm around his shoulder and he put his head down on my shoulder. As the procession went on, I could feel Charlie begin to cry. I need to get him on the tour with us.

With the windows open, I could hear the rain and the thunder outside as I sat on my bed with my computer, watching the interview I forgot to watch the other day. It was interesting, mainly talking about the tour, the album, asking if they are planning to record again soon, but when really got my attention was when they asked about me.

"For the last month, Sadee Christian has been on tour with you guys, but the last couple shows, she hasn't been seen, what happened? Did you and her break up Andy?" The interviewer asked Andy. Andy proceeded to give the camera a weird look and hold his hands up.

"Um, no, why the hell would we have broken up? She had something personal happen back at home and had to fly back to LA, but I can confirm that she will be back on tour with us in London," Andy answered and the interviewer nodded.

"Now Sadee has a real presence on stage, but she has said time after time that she is just a songwriter, what do you all think about that? Would she make a good performer?"

"I personally think she would be amazing as a singer, with her own tour and her own thing going on. But at the same time, I just can't imagine her having her own hour and a half set, not because she couldn't do it, but because she is an amazing songwriter and she is more of a support system for the band," Ashley said and I smiled at it. This is why he is my best bud.

"Andy?"

"Of course I think she would be a great performer, she has an amazing voice, and amazing personality, and people love her. But if she doesn't want to be a performer, it's her choice, and I support her in whatever choice she makes," Andy answered and I got this big smirk on my face. The next few questions had nothing to do with me, and I liked it that way. From downstairs, I heard the door open and close before someone set something down on the ground. I looked at the clock and furrowed my eyebrows. It's eleven at night, Andy's flight doesn't come in until five in the morning. I climbed off the bed and wrapped my arms around my waist as I slowly walked out of the room and down the stairs. Halfway down, I saw Andy walk into the kitchen. A big smile appeared on my face as I crept up behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist. He chuckled before turning around and giving me a kiss.

"Two weeks is such a long time away from each other," he smiled and I nodded.

"I agree 100%. Did you have fun though?" I asked.

"Of course, singing is my life," he said. I smiled and leaned against the counter as he got himself a glass of alcohol.

"So, I have a question," I said. He looked at me with one eyebrow raised.

"What?" He asked after he took a drink.

"Do you think that the band would mind if Charlie came with us to Europe?" I asked. Andy held the glass to his lips but thought for a second.

"Um, I don't think they would care, why?" He asked.

"Cause, Charlie is so upset about Gustav, and being in LA and everything. And I thought, maybe it would be beneficial for him to go on tour with his favorite band and he said he could write songs with you guys, since Tyler signed him," I said. Andy set his glass down before snaking his arms around my waist. Damn he must have really missed me.

"I think it's a great idea,Charlie would have so much fun. You just have to ask Jon or Tyler, or both," he said. I nodded and sighed.

"I know, I just wanted to run it by you first. And speaking of you, I thought your flight came in at five in the morning," I said. He smiled and scratched his head.

"See, I might have become an annoying fuck at Jon after the last show and immediately, or almost immediately, after the show we all boarded the plane and flew back," he smiled sheepishly.

"Only you," I smiled before kissing him. At my feet, I felt Crow rub his side along then and then he pawed his way up Andy's leg before meowing.

"I think someone missed you," I smiled and Andy bent over and picked Crow up.

"But he had you for two weeks," he said into Crow's side. I laughed and hugged them both. I live for these two, Andy and Crow.

Notes

Alrighty! So, I am sorry for the non-update yesterday, but, I was a little too excited because of the concert, which might I add was amazing. I got to the front and I swear Andy looked at me! I have pictures, and if you wanna see them, just comment and I'll figure out how to send them to you!

But the story, yes. So it is a real possibility that Charlie is going on tour. What do you all think of him going on tour with them for like two months? And if he goes, there will be a shit ton of songs being written by Charlie!
