Bullets in a Music Box

LA to Seattle

The blaring sun was blinding as I pulled my suitcase behind me towards the bus. Today we leave for tour, and it's freezing. Why did they have to start tour in February? I will never know. As I got closer to the bus, I saw Andy laughing with Ashley and Jake.

"I am struggling here!" I called out and he glanced up at me with a smile.

"Maybe you shouldn't have packed so much," he said.

"Excuse me, my suitcase weighs more than what I brought with. And this is your shit!" I said with a chuckle and stopped at the side of the bus where they were putting the suitcases. It was a weird system they had, some stuff went under the bus, some went on the bus. The suitcase I am putting under isn't even my stuff, it's Andy's concert wear.

"You look happy to be awake," the crew man smiled at me and picked up the suitcase and shoved it in the bus.

"Who doesn't love being up at six in the morning?" I smiled and crossed my arms before walking over to the three who were talking about God knows what. I stopped next to Andy and he unconsciously wrapped his arm around me.

"Are you excited for the tour?" Ashley asked me.

"Super. I can't wait to get away from LA for a while," I said and rubbed my hands together.

"Cold?" Ashley asked.

"Yes. And I don't get why it has to be thirty five fucking degrees in California," I said.

"It's winter, that's why," Andy said.

"But it's California, lower California. And we have a fucking ocean. It should be at least fifty degrees," I said.

"Not in February," Ashley commented and I gave him a look.

"When can we get on the bus?" I asked.

"When they say we can," Andy said. I groaned and began jumping in my spot.

"No one should be that hyper at seven in the morning," Jake said.

"I'm not hyper, I'm cold," I pointed out and he chuckled.

"Alright, board the bus," Jon said and I put my arms in the air.

"Finally!" I exclaimed and skipped my way over to the door and climbed on. It was so different from my mother's bus. It was awesome. I sat down on the couch and pulled my legs up to my chest. It was significantly warmer on the bus, but I was still cold. The band came onto the bus and all of them kind of did different things. Andy sat down next to me and put his arm around me, Ashley sat on the couch and went on his phone. Jake and Jinxx went to the bunks and CC went to the front of the bus, by the driver.

"Time to sit for like five hours, at least," Andy whispered in my ear and I shrugged.

"Don't care. I've done tours before, this bus makes me happy," I said and then the door closed and Jon came in.

"Well, the tour has officially started. We are on our way to Seattle. We should arrive sometime around two in the morning tomorrow," he said. Since the concert is on the seventh, we are staying in a hotel. But you have a radio interview at three tomorrow afternoon," Jon said to all of us and I watched him.

"Relax and don't kill each other. I am going to take a nap," he said and walked past us to the bunks.

"You wanna go take a nap too?" Andy asked as he rest his head on mine. I had laid my head down on his shoulder.

"If I pass out, I'd rather do it here, for now," I said.

"Fine by me. Let's watch a movie," he said and looked at Ashley.

"What movie shall we watch?" I asked.

"Um, I don't care. You choose," he said.

"If I choose, it's gonna be The Notebook," I said. Andy groaned quietly and I smirked.

"Whatever," Ashley said.

"Yes, The Notebook it is!" I exclaimed and climbed off the couch to put the movie in. When I accomplished that, I climbed back on the couch and curled back into Andy. He wrapped his arm back around me and kissed the top of my head.

Five movies and two bags of chips later, I decided that movies were boring. My legs were sprawled over the couch and Andy was doing something on his phone.

"What do you guys do on this bus? It's only three in the afternoon," I said with a whine in my voice.

"We usually sleep," CC said with sarcasm.

"But that's boring. You never write songs? Drink?" I asked, looking around at the three who were sitting with me.

"We do that, just not on the way to the first city," he said.

"Why didn't we fly?" I asked.

"Because Jon didn't want us to," Andy said without looking up from his phone.

"Jon is a wussy," I said.

"I can hear you," I heard Jon say from the bunk area and I chuckled.

"Why don't you sing us a song?" Ashley asked.

"All of my songs are sad as fuck," I said.

"Oh well," Ashley said and I sighed before thinking of a song to sing. I could sing Miles Away, but it's too early in the tour to sing that. I could sing The Day You Left, they all love that one.

"Can I sing a song that isn't mine?" I asked.

"Sing one of our songs," Andy said.

"Which one? You have so many," I said.

"Heart of Fire," Ashley said.

"Fine," I said before getting prepared to sing.

"Am I doing this a cappella?" I asked and Ashley sighed before getting off the couch and disappearing to the back, only to return with an acoustic guitar. I smiled and waited for him to begin playing.

"Driving through this world unknown, I've built my life on broken bones.
Not living for this anymore, you want a fight... I'll bring a war!
I feel alive inside I won't be terrorized, I'll take all the blame.
" I sang and then looked at Andy. He smiled and we both sang the chorus.

"This Heart of Fire is burning proud
I am every dream you lost and never found
This Heart of Fire is stronger now
Build your walls but you can't keep me out
I'll burn them down.
" We sang and I was smiling the whole time.

"I am every vow you broke, they left for dead and turned to smoke.
Arm yourself with words of hate, I'm ripping through the souls you take.
I feel alive inside I won't be terrorized, I'll stand up to the pain.

This Heart of Fire is burning proud
I am every dream you lost and never found
This Heart of Fire is stronger now
Build your walls but you can't keep me out
I'll burn them down.
" I sang and finished the song. I had gotten off the couch and was dancing while singing, of course it was exaggerated and didn't go with the song at all.

"Damn girl, you have a set of pipes," Jon said.

"It was genetic," I said in a monotone voice.

"I can see why Tyler thinks your song has such high potential," he said.

"If that song wins any awards, Andy is accepting it with me," I said.

"Why?" Andy asked.

"Because you sang on it too, and it's on your Andy Black album," I said and sat back down.

"But it's your song," he said. I scrunched up my nose at him and he laughed.

"I know it's my song, but you are going to accept any award with me," I said.

"Whatever," he said and wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into his chest.

The bus slowed and came to a stop at around two in the morning at the hotel. I had been slightly dozing off in the bunk with a sleeping Andy next to me. When the bus did stop, it jerked forward and woke me up.

"Andy, wake up, we're here," I shook him lightly and his eyes fluttered open and stared at me.

"Seriously?" He asked.

"Seriously," I said and climbed over him and out of the bunk. My shirt was all bunched up in the front. I am too tired for this shit. I pushed my shirt down and grabbed my suitcase before walking to the front of the bus and getting off.

"Is Andy awake?" Jon asked.

"He was when I climbed out of the bunk," I yawned and wrapped my arms around myself. I was wearing only a tee shirt. Damn, my jacket is on the bunk. A few minutes later Andy climbed off the bus with his suitcase, and my jacket.

"You forgot something," he said.

"I figured that out when I got out here," I said and grabbed my jacket and quickly pulled it on.

"When we get in the room, I am sleeping," he said.

"Sounds like a plan," I said and hugged Andy. My arms were wrapped around him and he lazily wrapped his around me.

"You're warm," I whined into his chest and he chuckled.

"I am a personal heater," he said and I looked up at him. He looked down at me and pecked my lips quickly before I shoved my face into his chest for warmth.

"Okay, when we get into the hotel, I will get your room keys, you just get your bags on the carts," Jon began talking and I turned my head to see him. When he finished talking, I let go of Andy and grabbed my bag. We all walked into the hotel and Jon went to the desk and talked with them. Living on a bus is going to be so hard.

Notes

First chapter. I think it's a good start. And this story obviously takes place like three weeks after the last chapter of Happy Little Pill. Andy and Sadee are still super cute and dorky. Don't worry, I won't change that. Hope you liked it!!!!
