Dark Magick

My song of choice right now... "Lost it All" by @blackveilbrides... Why? Because I really have lost it all tonight...

I write these words with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes... The time that we all saw coming but never wanted to face has arrived... My beloved pappaw has passed on tonight. He was, for all intents and purposes, the father I never had.

Some might think that's a bit extreme, but it's true. He did more for me over the course of the [insert number] years that I've been alive than any other man, save my equally beloved uncle, Jason. He did everything for and with me that he could, although what he was able to do has declined within the past few years, the last year especially. He might not've always been the most affectionate man, but he showed his love in other ways.

Times are, without a doubt, going to be rough for quite a while to come. I have to be my mammaw's shoulder to cry on while needing one myself... Words can't say how much I'm going to miss my pappaw, but only time and tears can heal my pain... May he find whatever peace and happiness he sought in life, but never quite achieved...
