~Stars Can't Shine Without Darkness~

Star's P.O.V.~

It was pretty breezy outside, so I pulled on a pair of dark blue skinny jeans with a black and white striped sweater. I laced up my converse and head out to the car where Violet is waiting for me.

"I can't believe you going out with Andy tonight after what happened on Halloween." Violet says in pure disbelief. "Me neither Violet. But I told him if he loves me, to prove it. He can't prove it if I don't give him a chance, now can he? I need to be fair to him to. It's not like he invited Britney over." I explain, tugging on my black, laced scarf. "No, he just let her nearly take advantage of him right in front of you." She threw back. I sighed and stayed silent for the rest of the ride.

"Is Andy picking you up?" "Yeah. Then we're going to eat." She waved to me as I stepped onto the curb to get inside.

"Hey girly!" Cassie greeted me as she came up to hug me. I hugged her back and smiled. "What's my job today?" I ask, looking around the store. "Your on shelving." I mentally sigh and head over to the band shirts to refold.

Half an hour later and I'm still shoving new shirts into the sockets. "Hey." I hear as I'm shoving a 'Blood on the Dance Floor' shirt into it's appropriate place on the shelves. "Yeah?" I turn to see a girl with flaming pink hair, popping gum over and over in her black painted lips."I was wondering if you wanted to trade. You know, I take your place, you take mine?" I nod. "Oh, yeah sure." I stumble my way over there, pressing the open button on the cash register to see how much money was made. Not very much.

*After work*

I plant myself on the bench outside, waiting for Andy to pick me up. I wait about ten minutes before sending him a text.

Star: Where are you?
*5 minutes later*
Andy: I'm on my way.

I shut my phone and patiently wait for him to show.

"Ready?" He asks me, pulling the door open for me from the inside. "Yes!" I smile at him and pull the seatbelt over my shoulder, placing it over my lap. He turns on the radio on low and hums along.
"Where're we going?" I ask him, not acknowledging his hand placed on my thigh. "I was thinking the small Diner down the road, that okay?" He asks, squeezing my thigh. "Of course." I reassure, smiling.
