Numb

Chapter VII

Courtney's POV:

The guys helped Ashley with the bags, while I sat on the counter, directing them.

"You know, you could help?" Jake offers, struggling to keep the door open and carry three bags at once.

"And risk ruining my manicure? No way. Besides, it gives you guys to show off your big muscles," I purr the last part, bating my lashes sensually.

That definitely caught his attention. He blindly crashes into the door, shaking him from his hypnotized gaze. The powers of a girl.

Ash smacks Jake on the head, "dude, that's my little sister you're staring at!"

Jake je blushes ever do slightly, making me burst into a for of giggles, nearly toppling off of the counter. But a hand stops me from falling. Andy's hand.

"You okay?" He asks, a small smirk playing on his lips.

I nod, his blue eyes captivating my own, "yeah, thanks."

"Alright! You two, break it up." Ashley shoves Andy away from me while balancing a box in in arm.

The boys dumped all of my stuff in the spare room, my new room. The room was already painted a light, lilac colour, almost like Ashley was anticipating my answer. I don't mind however, it gives me one less job to do.

A double bed sits in the middle of the far wall, with matching end tables and a dresser to go with them. Two doors lead to a closet and a attached bathroom, (the en suite relieves me, don't have to share with my brother!) and other than that, the room is bare. I quickly make up my bed, and roll out my fuzzy, white carpet. I even have a bay window which shows a lovely scene of the backyard! An attached bench is built in as well. I toss plush, colourful pillows onto the bench, and start to fill my bookcases with books.

An hour later, my room is almost fully unpacked, but my growling stomach is complaining so I decide to the a break. I skip downstairs to see the guys spread out in front of the TV, a beer in hand, shouting at the screen. I roll my eyes at their immaturity, and pick up the phone.

"I'm ordering pizza!" I shout over the volume of the TV.

The guys all shout back a 'okay' and I order.

Twenty minutes later, I pay for the pizzas (using Ash's wallet of course ;)) and steal a small box of plain cheese for myself. Grabbing a coke, I stealth upstairs and log into my laptop, turning on Netflix. A quiet night at home watching Pretty Little Liars, The Vampire Diaries, and American Horror Story is all I need right now. Too much testosterone downstairs for my taste.

I sneak downstairs, Netflix boring me after almost four hours in front of the screen, and see my brother and his band passed out on the ground, empty pizza boxes and beer bottles lying around.

I begin picking up everything, tiptoeing around their hungover forms. They look so strange asleep, peaceful and tranquil, sure to have a killer headache when the wake. Four wild guys, calm during their sleep. Four...?

"What are you dosing up still?"

I spin around, my heart pounding out of my chest, to see Andy leaning against the doorframe.

"Holy shit Andy! Don't do that to me!" I cry out, clutching my heart.

He chuckles lightly, "sorry. But it's like, 5am. Why are you up still?"

I grin lightly, "I could ask you the same thing Mr. Biersack."

"I suppose you could."

"So, you aren't drunk?

"Way to be discreet," Andy laughs.

I shrug, "lying has never been a skill of mine."

"to answer your question, I didn't have that much to drink. Figured you'd be fuming if you would have to clean up this whole mess by yourself."

I feel my heart warm at that, "that's so nice Andy. But honestly, you don't have to go that. I'll just force these jokers to clean up, it'll teach them to never get drunk off their asses again."

Andy chuckles, "I'll remember that."

Andy and me chat until the sun rises, laughing when the guys attempt to roll away from the sun's rays peaking through the blinds.

"Tooearlyyy..." CC slurs in his sleep, "want mommy," he mumbles, making Andy and I burst into laughter.

I set to work on a big breakfast, now that the mess the boys made is cleaned up. Pancakes and bacon seems like the perfect breakfast to cure a hangover.

"Coffee for you Andrew," I say in a singsong voice.

"Thanks Court," he says with a small smile as he takes a sip.

I set plates on the table, and place the food in the middle. Now to wake up the sleeping angels. Hehe, I'm going to have fun with this.

I give Andy a look, And he instantly understands. He sneaks towards the TV, and turns it on mute. I smile and rip open the blinds, and blare the music on my phone. Andy swiftly turns the volume on the TV on high, and laughs at me as I jump on each of the boys. They groan and curse at me, flipping me off as well. I giggle as Ashley pushes me over, and into Andy's arms.

Notes

I used to love waking up my brother and his friends whenever they slept over! It was awesome! Lol, I kinda miss my bro now... He's in university, and just looks at me like I'm a kid. :(

sorry to burden you guys with my little drama

Hi, I love your fanfiction but I wanted to talk to you about your brother. My advice is don't waste your time hating him. Life is too short and relationships with your siblings are too important. Trust me.
