Love, Hate, Magic, and the Past

*Jake's POV*
"Bye!!! We'll be back later!!!" CC yelled.
"Have fun!" Kate yelled from the kitchen. A minute later she yelled. "Lovebirds!!!! My best friend!!!! And the love of my life!!! It's dinnertime!"
I heard Kira bounding down the halls. I walked down to the kitchen and saw Kate dishing out plates of pasta. When she saw me she smiled. After setting the plate down she turned to me. I put my hands on her waist and kissed her. She placed her hands on my chest and kissed me back.
"Guys....please.....not near the food." Kira said after we pulled apart. Kate made a face at her and kissed me again.
When we sat down, Kira cleared her throat.
"You never listen do you, Kate?" She asked.
"Ahh...no. Are we not allowed to kiss near food?"
"No."
Kate pouted and glared at Kira. "That's not fair." She said, sounding like a little kid.
"I agree." Jinxx said, crossing his arms. He turned towards Andy and kissed him.
"Really? You too?" Kira complained.
They pulled apart and Andy nodded.
"Whatever." Kira said, twirling pasta on her fork.
After dinner, Kate got up and cleared the plates. I helped her wash the dishes and clean the kitchen. A Match into Water started playing and she pulled out her phone. "Yeah?" She paused.
"Ash....." Another pause.
"Yea...but Ashley-"
"Ashley." A longer pause.
"ASHLEY! Calm down. Calm the fuck down. Just-"
"But-"
"Ok..." she hung up and turned to me.
"What's wrong?"
"I don't know..."
"What did Ashley say?"
"That someone attacked the bar they were at and they took people. Others were hurt and he doesn't know where he is."
"Oh shit....call CC."
She dialed CC's number and put her phone up to her ear.
"CC! Are you ok?" She paused.
"Alright. Do you know where you are?"
"Yea, we will be there soon." Kate put her phone away and looked at me. I nodded and went to go get Andy and Jinxx. I heard Kate knocking on Kira's door.
"Jinxx? Andy?" I asked as I opened the door. They looked up from the movie and saw my face.
"What's up, Jake?" Andy asked.
"It's Ashley. Something happened at the bar and he has no idea where he is. He thinks he was drugged and taken."
"What about CC?" Jinxx asked.
"He's fine. Come on. Let's go save the day." Kate said. "I'm driving."
"Let's take two cars." Andy said.
Kira hopped in the backseat of Jinxx's car. They were going to find Ash. Kate and I were going to get CC.
Her phone rang and she answered it.
"Alex? How-"
"Yeah."
"Ok."
"I won't."
"Yup."
"I'm sorry."
"Ok. I promise." Her face seemed to get more petrified with each comment.
"Yes."
"I promise I won't."
"No."
"Ok."
Kate dropped her phone onto the center console.
"Call Andy."
I picked up her phone and called Andy. When it started ringing I put it on speaker.
"Andy." She breathed.
"Yeah?"
"Be super careful. Don't get too close to Alex. Remember what happened last time?"
"Oh shit...yeah....sorry."
"Yeah.....anyway, Alex has Ashley and they are only one block away from the bar."
"Ok, they went to Roxy's, right?"
"Yup, I swear, Alex isn't human. Either that or she's a fucking witch."
"Her being a witch would sorta explain what happened last time." Kate nodded. "Yeah. Just be really careful."
"Ok. I will. You be safe too. Bye."
"I will. See ya."
Andy hung up. Kate pulled over to the sidewalk. She pulled the keys out of the ignition. I grabbed her hand and squeezed it.
"It's going to be ok." I said.
She smiled at me. "Yeah."
We got out of the car and walked into Roxy's. There were confused, drunk people walking around. I spotted CC without a problem. He was worried and he was hugging some girl with brown hair. The girl seemed terrified. Kate and I ran over to him and the girl.
"CC!" He looked up at me. He had blood running down his cheek and he looked like an abandoned puppy. Kate hugged him.
"Are you ok?"
"Yeah. Guys this is Jenna."
"Hi..." she said timidly. "Hey. I'm Kate." Kate said hugging the girl. "This is my boyfriend, Jake." She said pointing to me. Jenna smiled and said hi.
*Jinxx's POV*
I reached across the center console and grabbed Andy's hand. He looked over at me and smiled. Then he looked back at the road and kept driving. Andy was pretty shaken up.
"There's a parking space over there!" Kira said as we got near Roxy's. Andy parked the car and we got out. "I feel like we should split up. I'll go right and you to go left. Search for a while and if you can't find anything come back to the car. I will call you if I find him and you call me."
I nodded. Andy and I walked down the street checking every alley for Ashley. We walked all the way around the block and we found ourselves back at the car.
"Where is he?" Andy asked. "I didn't see Kira either." I replied. "But we have to keep looking."
We walked the way Kira went. We went all the way. There was no sign of them. Andy called Kate to see if she might have found them, but she didn't pick up. Neither did CC or Jake. I called Kira and she didn't pick up. I called Ashley and on the 6th ring he picked up.
"Ash!" I said relieved.
"Oh? You're looking for him aren't you?" It was Alex.
"Uhh....Alex?"
"Yeah it's me, dumbass. Looking for your precious Ashley?"
"Yeah, dumbass." I said using the same to me of voice.
"Well...I see how it is...." she said. I looked down the street and saw the redhead walking towards us. She snapped her fingers and Andy collapsed. Alex grabbed the collar of my shirt and pushed me back into the building. Shit, I thought, this girl is stronger than I thought.
"Hello, Jinxx." She spat out. "You've messed with the wrong person. So have your friends, but I've already taken care of them."
"What do you mean..." I gulped. "By.....'already taken care of them..."
Alex pulled out some folded pictures. She let go of my shirt and unfolded them. The first one was of Kate and Jake. They lay on the ground. Jake's arm was bent at an odd angle and he had stab wounds in his torso. His face was all battered and bloody. Kate had the word 'worthless' carved into her arm. Her chest had been stabbed and there were burn marks all around her other arm and stomach. Alex dropped the picture.
The next one was CC and a girl who I didn't recognize. The girls lungs had been punctured and her throat was cut open. CC was hanging from the ceiling by a thick rope. His stomach was scratched open enough to have one or two organs spill out. But still attached to his body. The picture dropped.
Kira had her ankles cut and she was on her back. There were 5 deep gashes down her back and one across the back of her neck. The picture dropped. It was Ashley.
His 'Outlaw' tattoo had been traced around and cut out. So it wasn't there anymore. There were cuts running all over his arm and he had been burned. His legs were littered with stab wounds and cuts. The picture dropped. It was a picture if Andy.
I didn't stop to look at it. I couldn't look at it. Instead I ripped the picture out of her hand and threw it on the ground.
"What have you done?" I yelled.
"Only what had to be done, darling." She said with a smile, and with that she vanished. Andy was gone, I was alone. I walked into Roxy's. Some people had cleaned up the place and the bartender was serving drinks again. I sat down at the bar and put my head on the table. What the hell is happening?
"Hey, you ok?" Someone asked.
"Yeah I'm fine."
"Jinxx, you're a horrible liar." I sat up. Kate was standing there with a beer in her hand. I grabbed her arm and pulled up her sleeve. No new scars. I sighed in relief.
"What happened?" Kate asked. I told her everything. From Andy disappearing to the pictures. When I was done she wiped away tears and gave me a hug.
"They are safe. We found them. It's ok. I called you but your phone was going right to voice mail. I'm sorry. I should have gone to find you."
After a couple minutes of Kate muttering about how she should have gone to look for me and how she was sorry, Jake walked up. "Let's get home. Then tomorrow morning we can figure out what happened." Kate nodded. She and Jake walked out. His arm was around her shoulder. Andy walked up to me.
"Jinxx?"
"Yeah?"
"You ok?"
"Yes." He nodded and took my hand, interlocking our fingers. We walked out to the car, hand in hand.
