Olivia's POV:

I turned my head away from Ashley, who's smirk covered more than half of his handsome face. Wait... Handsome? Ugh, crying really messes with my head. First I'm calling Ashley Purdy, handsome, next I'm saying the sky is purple.

"Come on Livvy! You need to eat." He wined, which sounded pretty adorable.

I smirked at my having the upper hand for once. I had yet to move from my spot on the tile floor of my kitchen; only Ashley had attempted to feed me some of the muffins I'd baked earlier.

"Nope," I smiled, "I'm not hungry."

"Please?" He pouted, and I had to turn away from him so I wouldn't give in. He could be cute if he wanted to apparently.

After he had decided to so kindly comfort me after my mental breakdown, (which I say with no sarcasm whatsoever) he stayed to ensure I "took care of myself", or whatever bullshit he meant.

"Ashley, if I were you, I'd give up. Lizzie has yet to accomplish forcing me to do anything."

He raised a questioning eyebrow, and leaned away from me, "who's 'Lizzie?"

"Oh! Yeah, she's my best friend," I giggled at my own stupidity.

Ashley pouted once more, "I thought we were best friends?"

I smiled affectionately and patted his cheek before standing up and jumping onto the counter, "sorry babe, she's got four years on you."

He smirked when I realized what I'd said, and I immediately tried to take it back.

"I mean, l-like, uhh... I didn't mean to call you that name..." I trailed off was he let out a chuckle.

"Babe, huh?"

I blushed and looked away.

"hmm, I like the sound of that actually. Want to call me that again, 'babe'?" He mocked.

I hopped off the counter and hurried to the living room to try and escape my humiliation. Sadly, Ashley was quicker than I expected, and his arms laced around my waist, tugging em back to his chest. Unfortunately for me, I stumble forwards as he caught me, resulting in me landing on the floor, with As on top of me. Cannot say that it wasn't awkward.

His smirk seemed to grow at the close contact, making my cheeks even redder. I squirmed a bit under his weight, and desperately tried to free myself to no avail.

"If I were you Princess, I would stop the squirming," he winked but something in his voice had more to it than typical playfulness. "Now, if you could be a good girl for once, and simply call me, 'babe' again in tat adorable little voice of yours, this could all be over."

I laughed despite the pressure on my chest, "you sound like a rapist.'

He cracked a grin, "maybe that's the angel I'm going for."

"Then I must say, Mr. Purdy. You are a terrible rapist. More of an asshole, or a dick, or a-"

"Alright, I get the picture," Ashley managed between laughs. "Now just call me 'babe' and I'll get off of you."

He paused for a second, "okay, you're right, that does sound creepy."

"Then you'll kindly get off me?'

"Nope."

"Ugh! Fine, you big meany! Baby, please, get off of me. You're squishing me!" I whined, finally giving in.

He grinned, "see, that wasn't so hard."

Ashley offered me a hand up, which I gladly accepted, "by the way. Loving the names."

I used to ask myself, "what is love"? Love is when someone is so important to you, that fi they asked, you would open a vein. And that's exactly what he asked. So that's exactly what I did.
