I Swear I'll Never Let You Die
Made Me Feel
"Okay baby, let's get out of here..." I whispered to Dani as we walked out of the grocery store. She cooed and smiled at me. The Los Angeles sun glinted in my eyes and the warm breeze tickled my skin.
Andy's parents were back home and I had made a run to the store so Amy and I could make dinner. I put the bags in the trunk and then lifted Dani into her car seat, before putting the cart away. I hopped in the car and turned it on.
The drive home was quick and before I knew it, I saw Andy and Chris running out of the house to help with groceries.
"Hey love." Andy said, and I kissed his cheek, taking Dani out of the car seat.
"Hey." I smiled, "You guys need my help or do you have it?"
"We've got it." Andy chuckled and I walked inside. Amy grinned seeing me walk in the living room.
"Let me hold her!" She said, coming up to Dani and I. I gladly handed her to her grandma, thankful she had one that seemed to care and love her.
My parents were assholes about Danielle, and they hadn't seen in her three months. They seemed to hate Andy now, and sometimes I think they even hate me.
Danielle was the best thing that's ever happened to Andy and I. We're married, we're in love, and now we're a family.
"She's so big!" Amy cooed poking her nose.
"I know, I hate it." I giggled, looking into Danielle's baby blues. The same as her daddy's.
Suddenly, I felt an arm wrap around my waist. I looked up to see my husband, looking down at me happily. He kissed me quickly and then our daughters head.
"Can I talk to you?" He asked, and I nodded. He pulled me to our bedroom. There was crib in the corner for when Danielle seemed restless, but she had her own room. Our bed was plush and a blue spread was on it with a few pillows scattered on top.
Our house wasn't too big, but it was just right. Perfect for us. "What's up babe?"
"Your parents called." He said, sitting down on the bed. My eyes widened.
"What?" I sat next to him.
"They want to come out." He said, softly.
"Oh dear.." I said, putting my head in my hands. His hand rubbed across my back and I sighed.
"What should we do?" He asked, leaning down and prying my hands from my eyes.
"I don't know." I shook my head.
"Do you want to call them back?" He said as I stood up and grabbed a hair the off of our dresser and pulled my hair from my face.
"Not really, but I should." I said. I took my phone from my pocket and dialed my mom's number, pressing the speaker button. Andy came up behind me and held my waist.
She picked up on the third ring. "Hello?"
"Hey mom, it's Jasey and Andy." I said, feeling his hand rubbing my hip.
"Oh hi sweetheart. How are you? I feel like we haven't talked in months!" She exclaimed.
"That's because we haven't, mom." I seethed and Andy brushed a piece of hair behind my hair.
"It's okay.." He whispered.
"Jasey, I'm so sorry. Can we come out? We'd like to see you guys, especially Danielle." She pleaded.
"Of course mom. Amy and Chris are here now so come as soon as you can. I really wanted you to be a part of my baby's life." I said.
"I'm sorry we've been so sour. We love you, and you Andy." She chuckled.
"Thank you m'am." Andy laughed.
"And we love your daughter. We'd like to see you guys so we'll be there tomorrow." She said.
"Okay. See you then." I said.
"Bye honey."
"Bye." I said, clicking end call. Andy kissed my lips quickly before we walked back out the Amy and Chris.
