I Swear I'll Never Let You Die
Filled Up
Jasey and I climbed into our car with heavy sighs. After a long day of modeling for a photo shoot we were finally heading home. It was for AP magazine, a special Valentine's Day feature on rockstars and their significant others.
It was a long photo shoot and I knew Jasey was getting tired of it but I think we got some good shots.
I felt her hand find mine and squeeze gently. I couldn't help but reminded of when we first held hands so long ago. I couldn't believe we first got together almost four years ago. Time flies.
"Boy I'm tired." She said, yawning as I backed out of my parking space.
"Me too." I smiled, suddenly feeling my phone vibrate in my pocket. I slipped it out to see it was our baby sitter, Kelsey. She was a teenager that lived a few houses down from us. "Hello?"
"Mr. Biersack? I think your daughter is really sick." She said, making my heart beat against my chest.
"Why do you say that?" I asked.
"Well she's throwing up, and her face is really pale but she's burning up. She's shivering all over and I just can't get enough blankets around her-"
"We'll be there soon. Twenty minutes tops. Please stay with her." I said, nerves settling to my very core.
"I will. See you soon." I pressed end as I felt Jasey's hand rest on my arm. She was looking at me with fearful eyes.
"What's going on?" She asked.
"Dani is sick." I said, my voice sounding pained. She let out a nervous breath, tears falling down her cheeks. The rest of the ride was silent as I sped down the road trying to get to my daughter.
Twenty minutes later we burst through the door of our house. "Kelsey!? Where is Danielle!" Jasey screamed as soon as she took her first step in our house.
"Right here." The blonde teenager said. "I put her to bed hoping that would make her feel better but she just kept crying. She finally stopped when I played The Morticians Daughter for her."
"Oh my baby." Jasey said, taking her from Kelsey's arms. I ran a hand through my hair and blew a sigh out.
"Thank you." I said, handing her a check.
"No problem. I hope she feels better. Goodnight Mr. B." She said, walking to the door.
"Goodnight Kelsey." I said, shutting the door after her. I walked to Jasey in the kitchen. She was staring down at Danielle's pale face. "I guess this is the hard part huh?"
"Guess so." She sighed. "We should take her to the doctor tomorrow."
"I know." I nodded.
"I really hope it's nothing serious." She said, running her thumb under her eye. I let out a shaky breath as I tried to imagine the feeling of a life without Danielle.
It felt like hell.
"Me too." I sifhed, shaking my head.
