It's so cold in here. Daddy took my blanket last night because I asked for more dinner last night. I only had half a bowl. Sometimes I wonder if my daddy even loves me. Or where my mommy is. I'm not allowed to see or talk about my mommy. Daddy took the one picture I had of mommy because he said she's mean. But mommys to pretty to be mean. "Aubrey! Here's dinner!" Daddy always shouts at me, and looks at me like I've done something wrong.

Quicky I hid my toy that I stole from daddy. He calls it a phone, but I don't know how to use it yet. Daddy came into the room and handed me my dinner. It's the same thing every night. A mixture of corn powder, milk, and butter. "Eat up brat." Daddy snarled at me again.

Daddy was mean, he never told me he loves me. Did he love me? Sometimes I have dreams that I crawl out the basement window to find mommy, and as soon as I get to her I wake up.


Soneday, I know my mommy will save me.
