I Guess Dreams Can Come True

I screamed and without hesitation whipped my car off the road, and that car continued on. I sat there, off the road for a few minutes, wondering what had just happened, why was that car facing me?! I could have died! I sat there with my heart racing, tears in my eyes, and my hands shaking on the steering wheel. After about 3 minutes of staying off the road I sighed and went back on the road, and drove a bit safer, with my hands clutching onto the steering wheel the whole ride home. I got inside and saw another party taking place in my house.

“GET OUT!!! NOW!!!” I yelled at the top of my lungs, everyone stopped and looked at me, someone even turned off the music. I huffed and now I was really crying.

“NOW!” I yelled again and I saw all the girls pick up their purses and get out with their friend or boyfriend, soon everyone was out, except Jane, who stood there as shocked as I was with what just happened. I pushed past her and ran to my room and just cried on my bed, I was there for 5 minutes or so, still crying when I heard a soft tap at my door, I ignored it.

“Kate…?” I heard a gentle voice say on the other side of my door…

“what?” I said through sobs. Jane came in with a cup of water and some tissues, I sat up and just watched her put them down on the table beside my bed, then she sat down beside me and hugged me. This is what I needed I think… I just needed for someone to be there. We fell asleep like that.

IN THE MORNING

I woke up to sunlight, today is one of those days that I appreciate working for myself. I got up, and Jane was gone, probably at work. I walked into the bathroom and washed my face, my eyes still a bit pink from all the crying done last night, then I walked into the kitchen, grabbed a bowl and some cereal and sat down to eat with my phone. I had 30 missed calls from Andy, 21 new texts from him, 14 new voice mails from him too, and I had a few missed calls and texts from Landon, I dismissed all of them. After breakfast I got up and threw my Ariel red hair into a bun, threw on a pair of skinny jeans and a batman t-shirt and did a simple makeup today. I grabbed my phone, my car keys, and my bag, slipped on my shoes and headed out to my car. Once I arrived at the studio I walked in to see Stitch all dressed up in a princess costume again, I thought Andy had taken that off her last night. “Sorry, Stitch.” I said and she meowed in return, I bent down to take off her costume and noticed a small piece of paper attached to her costume, I rolled my eyes and read it out loud:

“Kate, I’m sorry about everything. Can we please talk about this tonight after your off of work over some coffee? If so either text me or just meet me at the coffee shop down town.
-Andy <3”

I sat down and picked up Stitch into my lap.

“What do you think, Stitch, should I go?” I sighed. “That’s what I thought too I said to Stitch.

ABOUT 6 HOURS LATER

I looked at my phone and saw a new message from Andy, and I responded.

“Are you going to meet me there tonight… please do.”

“…Maybe.”

“Maybe… yes?”

“Maybe… maybe.”

“I hope to see you then :/”

I got up to go see Stitch.

“What do you think, Stitch?” “Still no answer?” I laughed at myself for a second for talking to a cat. I decided that I probably should go see him, to be the mature one. I got up and locked the studio door behind me, which brings me to another question, how did Andy get in here, and why did he just feel the need to walk in here? Whatever, I guess that’s not important. I went out to my car and put the music on immediately, of course bvb… wow. The whole drive over there all I could think about was the fact that I had no idea as to what Andy and I will say to each other. I pulled into the parking lot to see that the only open space was next to Andy’s car, so that’s just great. I pulled the spot anyway, grabbed my bag, and walked into the coffee shop. The first face I saw was Andy’s and as soon as his eyes met mine his whole face lit up like a Christmas tree, I gave him a faint smile in return.

“Kate!” He yelled across the shop to me, as if I hadn’t already seen him sitting there.

“I know.” I mouthed to him. I walked over to the table where he sat, put my bag on the back of my chair then sat right across from hid, the only seat available.

“So, I think we should probably talk…” He said with his once again amazingly deep voice, it was deep, but it never sounded threatening to me.

ANDY’S POV

She texted me back! Yes! I asked Kate to meet me at the coffee shop, and I was hoping she would come, but I was afraid she wouldn’t, but she did. I sat in the coffee shop for nearly 20 minutes before Kate arrived, I wanted to be there early. Then I saw it, that beautiful red head walk right through those coffee shop doors, it seemed as if when she walked in the whole room brightened. I smiled, trying to mask my pure excitement, but I’m sure that didn’t work. I tried to wave her over by saying her name, but she seemed embarrassed by me doing that. She finally came over and sat across from me, but then I remembered why she came here, because we needed to talk, I wish none of this had ever happened really…

“So, I think we should probably talk…” I said, scratching the back of my neck, from nerves.

“Yeah, I think so too…” she replied in her sweet tone.

“I’m sor-“

“No, I’M sorry!” I interrupted her. We both gave a nervous laugh.

“I shouldn’t have left, that was stupid of me, he could have easily hurt you after I left, and I’m also sorry for coming in while you were singing to James, but it was just so beautiful…” She blushed when I said that, it was adorable. Everything she does is adorable.

“Well, thanks… and I’m sorry too, I shouldn’t have gotten in the way and yelled…” she said, still clearly blushing.

“I’ll never leave you again, I promise.” I said to her, and I meant it, she groaned.

“Don’t say that…” she said, obviously pained to say it.

“What do you mean, why? But I will never leave you, and I want you to know that…” I was getting really confused now.

“Everyone always leaves… even you will someday.” Now she was getting nervous, and upset.

“Not me.” I said as I hugged her.

“Want to get out of here? Maybe go finish the movie since we all fell asleep?”

“Sure.” And she seemed happier this time. We drove back to her house in our separate cars, so that she could drop off her car at her house and I could drive both of us over to my house. We got to her house and she went inside, grabbing clothes, makeup, the essentials, just in case she ended up falling asleep again at my house I’m guessing. She came out of her house quickly locking the door behind her, and she ran to my car, getting right in.

“in a rush?” I laughed.

“Nope.” She smiled with that simple word, yet it seemed something was wrong, but she obviously wasn’t going to tell me, so I just left it at that. I drove us over to my house. When we both walked in everyone was there, why?

“Hey! Sorry, I thought a little party was needed tonight, and I’m glad Kate could make it!” Ash said to me with a wink. Kate laughed.

“Me too.” I smiled, she was glad she was here with me. Sandra ran up and gave Kate a huge hug, Kate just sat there and embraced as everyone suddenly came up and started hugging her, Jake, Jinx, Ash, Matt, Chance, Cc, and even me. After the giant hug Kate just laughed and came over to me.

“Hey, uhm… I’m not much of a party person… I don’t know how to party…” she said nervously.

“It’s fine, you’ll have a great time, trust me.” I laughed. She blushed then just stayed by my side the whole night, and I of course had no problem with that. It was getting kind of tired at this “Party” so I ran upstairs and turned on some music, pretty loud I might add, I turned on one of our albums, Kate seemed to enjoy that. I ran back downstairs to see that actually not just Kate enjoyed the music selection, but everyone did.

“Good song, I love it!” Kate yelled to me, trying to make sure her voice wasn’t drained out by the music.

“Thanks, I like it too!” I replied, she just rolled her eyes playfully. It was around 10:00 p.m until any of us realized how late it was getting, because we were all just having such a great time. I was just sitting there, glad to see everyone having a good time here when Kate came up to me, I could smell beer on her breath.

“Hey, having a good time?” I laughed.

“Oh yeah! Maybe I should get into this party thing more often!” She slurred.

“Yeah, okay.” It was somewhat comical how she was acting. I looked over Kate’s shoulder to see Matt coming over, he didn’t seem drunk really, well at least not as bad as Kate was.

“She yours?” That question caught me off guard.

“W-What?” I stuttered at Matt.

“IS SHE YOURS?” Matt said, thinking that I asked what, not because of the question but because I couldn’t hear him over the music.

“Oh, umm… no…?” I wish…

“What was that last part?” Matt asked me. Shit, I said that out loud…

“Nothing, sorry…” Then before I could even say or do anything else I watched Matt pull Kate into a long kiss. I died on the inside with that. I was just about to blow up when I saw Kate push Matt off her.

“Get off me, creep!” Kate yelled, and I don’t think she yelled because she thought she wouldn’t be heard. I laughed so hard, I can’t believe she did that! That little girl who I thought would never do something as far as trying to disappoint someone , or knowing it would disappoint someone just did that… woah.

“Wasn’t that just a little adventure?” I tried saying through laughs.

“He tried having ‘a little adventure’ in my MOUTH!” Kate said, trying to hide her laughs as well, that just made me laugh even harder .
