Picking up the broken pieces

"Please, don't, c'mon, step on the right side of the railing. I won't let go." Andy assured. Before I knew what was happening, I felt my legs moving. "That's it. Okay, there. Now why don't you come inside where it's warm? Follow me." I started to panic. "Hey, it's okay, I won't hurt you, I promise. You were at the concert tonight, I remember." He said, never letting go of my hand, his blue eyes never looking away. He helped me up the steps, and that's when I collapsed. "WHOA, HEY THERE! Come on, we're almost to the couch!" He encouraged. "Jake, could you go get her a change of clothes and a towel? Ash, can you get a couple blankets?" Andy asked kindly. They both nodded.

Andy helped me to the couch. "Are you okay?" he asked. "Obviously not, taking into consideration the fact that I just tried to kill myself." I whisper yelled. "Shit....sorry, that was a stupid question. Now, a better question is why were you going to end it? There's so much more to life that you haven't discovered!" He asked. I swear I could here his heart pounding from adrenaline...or maybe that was my own? I hung my head, too numb to cry anymore. "Hey, come here. It's okay, you don't have to tell us just yet."
