Disney Princess Remix

-Ashley's POV-

"What?!" I took a step away from him.
"Ashley, please, I swear I would never hurt you, but-" he sighed. "Look, here's what happened. The king knows you're gone, he saw me practicing archery in the village and hired me to kill you. I never would have taken the deal, but he offered me enough money to keep me going my whole life. But as soon as I saw you, I knew I couldn't. I've never killed someone before, I just can't do it. Please forgive me, Ashley." A tear leaked from his eye as he picked a silver dagger from his coat pocket, tossing it aside and holding up his hands in surrender. I don't know why he told me, but I was afraid of him now. I couldn't trust him. I took another few steps back.
"I-Andy-" I was at a loss for words. The man I was falling in love with had originally been sent to kill me. "I can't trust you. Stay away from me."
"Please, Ashley." He cast his bow and arrow on the ground a few feet away and shrugged off his coat, tossing that away as well. "Those are my two weapons. Keep them, burn them, bury them, I don't care. If I really was going to cut out your heart for the king, I would have done it by now."
"Why haven't you?" I was hoping to distract him enough to trick him into thinking I would stay, then make a run for it.
"Because, Ashley," the tears dripping down his face now. "I think I love you." I barely had time to comprehend this before I shook my head.
"Stay away from me if you really love me," I choked out, sobbing as I dashed through the woods, back to the tree cottage, locking the door behind me. He loved me. But he was working for my father. He was going to kill me. The king was insane, who knows what was really true, except for the fact that I couldn't trust Andy. He must have really cared for me, though, because he left me alone. I told the elves what he said and how I used to feel about him. Did I still love him, despite of this? I didn't know, but as I was strolling through the woods one bright afternoon, I heard the clopping sound of horse hooves against the hard, dirt ground. There was no time to hide. My father was coming back for me, he was going to find me and kill me, just as he'd promised.
"Ashley! Run!" I heard Andy yell from behind me. He drew his bow and arrow, barely dodging the axe the king hurled at his face. He shot, firing an arrow into his side. He was still alive, though, and made one last attempt on my life. I was stunned into a paralyzed state and was unable to avoid the poison dart that was now pierced through my neck.
"May you never wake," he managed to croak out as he died. "Until true loves kiss opens your eyes. Too bad no one loves you." He grinned a twisted smile before Andy silenced him forever with one slice of the silver dagger meant to take my life. I collapsed, feeling the effect of whatever he had injected into me. Andy ran over to me.
"Ashley," he mumbled, hugging me. "I'm sorry."
"What for?" I asked. He had nothing to apologize for. "I should he thanking you for killing the king. I'm sorry I didn't trust you soon enough. If I did, I might have made it through today. Andy, I never had the chance to tell you the truth," I coughed, becoming drowsy.
"What is it?"
"I love you, too." The last thing I saw before the darkness fought its way to victory was Andy's beautiful face.

-Andy's POV-

He told me he loved me and then died in my arms. It didn't feel real, like it was a dream that I would wake up from in a moment. But it was true, and I was living a nightmare. I began to sob as I held his limp body close, one last embrace. Yet despite his unconscious state, I could hear his heartbeat. He was alive, and breathing, too. The I remembered what the king said: he was asleep, and a true loves kiss could wake him. Quickly, I pressed my lips to his, wishing for and wanting nothing more than for him to live again. Tears rolled down my face as I pulled away and nothing happened. I thought it was true love, but maybe I was wrong. Still, I refused to let go of him, hugging him and holding him tightly. Then, his eyes fluttered open.
"Andy? I-I thought I was dead."
"You were, Ashley. I woke you up with a true loves kiss."
"You do love me?"
"Of course I do, dear." I kissed him again, carrying him bridal style back to the tree cottage.

Notes

I believe the next one will be Sleeping Beauty, but idk. Hope everyone likes these! I've been writing them on my ipod while on the bus to and from school, so sorry if they're not as good.
