Chapter seven: When the storms cleared
The darkness has cleared but the wind was still singing a pure tone making the windows rattle. I open my eyes to see Jake's arm around my waist and a small smile spreads across my face. I slowly look to the clock seeing its just after 8. So no school seeing Jake's parents did not wake us.
I pushed myself up from the bed slowly removing his arm from my waist. His eyes open and my lungs has escaped. "Morning."
"Hello, how did you sleep? Did i snore?" i inquire with a small smile.
"No." He chuckles lifting himself up. "How about we talk about last night."
I arch my brow confused. "What happen last night?" i ask with a smile.
"Clare don't lie to me please. I saw the scars."
I shrug lowering my head. "I am so sorry, everything is just building up and it feels i am screaming from the top of my lungs but no one hears me."Tears dripping down my pale hands as i utter those words. "God." i begin to laugh. "Look at me, i am a mess."
"I am." I look up seeing Jake with a small smirk. "Inside and outside." He leans in, oh my is this going to be my first kiss i-
The knock on the door startle us both, we retreat back as he pulls the sheet up to his body and i removing the hair out of my face. "You awake?"
"Yeah," i smile seeing my brother. "What's up?"
"Wanna go out with me for a few hours?"
"Where too?" i ask.
"Uh.... to our spot where else."
I giggle and nod. "Okay let me get dressed," i turn to Jake biting my lip. "Uh... next time?"
His face lights up as he nod instantly. "next time." I jumped out of bed with glee running to the bathroom.
