My Legacy

It's All Done For You

Emily's POV: The next day, we all get up and find Christy's already up and in her chair. How the hell did she do that without help? Or did she have help?
A few moments pass, and I get my answer, as Ashley walks out of the bathroom, and right over to Christy. He smiles down at her and she smiles back. They really would make a cute couple, but I feel like I need to drive CC's point home to Ashley, that if he hurts her, he won't only have to answer to CC, but me as well.
As I make breakfast for everyone, I look up from the waffle maker to the living room area, and see Ashley kiss Christy. What the? Did he already ask her out, or was that to break the ice to ask her out?
I remove the finished waffle, place the batter for another inside and look back at them. Christy giggles at something he says so only she can hear him, then he sweeps her up and sits on the sofa with her on his lap.
Never have I seen my best friend so happy, but I'm worried at the same time. Yeah, I may have told Ashley to ask her out if he liked her, but I didn't think it'd happen this soon. Oh, well. Can't change the past. Only look forward/hope for the future.
CC's POV: When I finish in the bathroom and walk out to the front room, I find Emily making waffles, the guys laughing at something, and Ash and my sister curled up on the sofa together. He's tickling her, as she sits on his lap and she squirms, trying to get away, but being unsuccessful.
"What's going on in here?" I ask, making my presence known.
"Christina found Ash's ticklish spot, so now it's payback time," Jake tells me through fits of laughter.
"CC! HELP ME!" Christina calls out to me.
Wait. Did she just call me by my nickname? Since when?
Anyway, I sit next to them, placing Christina's legs over mine, and start helping Ash tickle her, which makes her squirm harder, and without realizing what she was doing, pushed against Ash and fell to the floor with a loud thunk.
"Christina!" Ash gasp, getting up, and kneeling down next to her. She looks up at him, trying to hide her laughter, and I breathe a sigh of relief. She's okay.
"I'm fine. It's not like a small fall like that is going to hurt me, Ashley," she finally says, in an easy going tone. That's my sister for you.
"You shouldn't have done that. No...I shouldn't have tickled you so much. You wouldn't have fallen then. I'm sorry," Ash say to her, gently picking her up and setting her back on his lap.
"Ashley...You did nothing wrong," she says seriously, all traces of humor leaving her in an instance.
Ashley sighs, not looking at her, and nods. He's really upset that she fell. I mean, don't get me wrong, I was just as worried as he was when she fell, but when I saw she was laughing, I let it go. I knew she was okay.
"Umm...Time to change the subject," Christina says, "So, where are we heading to today?"
"Umm...Washington," Andy answers, looking at the calendar in the kitchen, with two plates in hand.
He walks over, passing one to Christina, then the other to Ashley, then returns to the kitchen and brings out more plates of waffles, passing them out to everyone. We all chat and eat together, then Emily said, "Christy, isn't there something you would like to tell everyone?"
Christina looks confused for a moment, then says, "Oh! You're right, Em. There is something I want to tell you guys."
"Damn it, Ashley. Already knocked my sister up, man?" I say jokingly, clapping him on the shoulder as we all laugh.
"No. Haven't even done that yet, dude," he counters, looking at me and rolling his eyes.
"No, CC. I talked to a guy yesterday, while CC was out with you guys, and he's going to help me walk again, if he can," I said.
"What? That's great," I say, feeling a weight lift from my chest.
"Does he really he can help you walk again?" Jinxx asked.
"He seemed pretty confident about it," Christina says, with a small shrug, "Had me convinced."
"That's a feat in itself," Andy says, jokingly.
"Bite me, Biersack. Or should I say, Ballsack," Christina quips, smiling proudly when everyone laughs and Em screams, "OH! BURN!"
"Anyway, when does all this start, sweetheart?" Ash asked her, setting his plate on the end table and brushing my sister's hair from her face.
"When we get back from tour. I called him today while everyone was sleeping and you were in the shower. Told him it would be about 4 months before we got back and he said that would be fine. He also said that would give my body time to heal from the accident, so we could start a day or two after we get home," she explains, then takes the last bite of her waffles, and says, "Those were amazing waffles, Em. How much crack was in them?"
Emily laughs and says, "You know I don't need drugs to make you love my cooking, but thanks."
Yep. Just another day in the life of the Black Veil Brides. We're all mad here.
Ashley's POV: After breakfast, though I hate letting go of Christina, I place her back in her chair and we set to work making a bedroom for her in the back of the bus. It'll make things easier on her, but then CC takes me off guard, by asking Jake to help him bring my bunk mattress into the back room. What is he up to?
They get the mattress out and move it into the room, setting it next to Christina's mattress, and elevate it, using a wooden frame Andy and CC put together for "her bed". I then realize how they worked it.
Christina's mattress rests on part of the wooden frame, while the other half is on the sofa, up against the wall. That won't work for her, so I move her mattress over, before they can slam mine down, and once it's in position, they slam my mattress down. I then move it over to where hers was, and we start adding pillows and sheets and blankets to the bed.
When we're done, we head to the front room where Emily and Christina are, and call them back, while Andy drills the final screw into place for Christina's stability bar, so she can get in and out of bed on her own.
When she comes through the door, she smiles, and Andy tells her to try it out. She nods, then moves over to the bar he just secured into place, and I watch (ready to catch her if need be) as she grabs hold of it with both hands, and pulls herself up. She then moves her lower body over the bed, using her upper body strength, and sits on the bed. She maneuvers her legs into place and lays on the bed, and asked, "One question."
"What's that?" Andy asked first.
"Why are there two beds here? Who's sleeping with me?" she asked.
"Ash is," CC answers, and gives me a slight push in her direction.
I smile at her, then crawl up my side of the makeshift bed, and lay down next to her. She smiles at me in return, then kisses my cheek, and thanks all of us for making this for her. She says we're going above and beyond the call of duty, but we really just want to make her comfortable.
She's independent, and you can tell it kills her to have to ask for help all the time anymore. We're just trying to give her, her life back. Get things back to normal, or as normal as they can be.
