My Legacy

Love At it's Finest

Christina's POV: There's only so much insanity that a person can handle in one day. When Christian came up to me this morning and asked me what I would think about Em and him dating, at first I thought he was kidding, and it kind of pissed me off. The look in his eyes though...They told me it wasn't a joke. That he was serious.
He had said he really loved her and had since we were kids but that he respected me enough not to ask her out since she was my best friend. It was only fair that I say I was cool with it, since I'm now dating one of his best friends, but also had informed him that if he hurt her in any way, shape, or form, I wouldn't hesitate to knock him out. He agreed that he wouldn't hurt her, and I've known she's had a crush on Christian for a long time too. It wouldn't be right to keep them from finding happiness within each other. But things didn't go according to plan.
Yeah, he was supposed to bring her on stage and kiss her. She reacted just as I predicted she would have, so I played along, but when they admitted their feelings for each other, I didn't expect her to scream it to him and run inside the bus.
"Let me talk to her," I tell Christian, then wheel myself to the door, and realize how I'm kind of screwed. Ashley notices, then walks over to me, and says, "Up you go," as he lefts me from the chair and into the tour bus.
Once inside, he sets me down in my bus chair, then I thank him with a kiss and he then walks out, leaving me alone with Emily, so we can talk. I sigh, then wheel myself back to the bunk area, and find her in her bunk, crying.
She looks up at me for a moment, then back to the pillow. "What's wrong?" I ask her after a moment.
"I'm sorry, Christina, but I love your brother, and I know we can't ever be together, but-"
"Wait a second. Stop right there. Why can't you two ever be together?" I ask, interrupting her sobbing rant.
"Because you and I are best friends. Wouldn't that be...Strange?" she asked, looking back up at me, and then I realize, she's not in her bunk, but in Christian's.
"I'm not going to keep you apart. That would make me a horrible person. Besides, if you married him, that would mean you really would be my sister. I think that would be kind of cool, don't you? And on top of all that, it's not like I'm not already breaking that made up rule. I'm dating Ashley, on of Christian's best friends," I tell her, "So, lets clean you up, and go back outside, where you and Christian can talk about this."
She nods, with a small hiccup, from crying so hard, then we head into the bathroom. She cleans off her makeup, and I tell her to sit on the tub, and take her makeup bag and mine in my lap. She agrees, doing as I asked of her, then I start on her makeup, giving her a completely different look than her normal all black.
I take my brush and dip it in my lime green eye shadow, placing it on the inner corners of her eyes, then follow that with light blue and purple on the center and outer corners. I then blend them nicely, and follow with eyeliner and false lashes that have purple gems on the band of them.
When she's done, I let her look in the mirror and she gasps in shock. "I-Is that me?" she asked in shock.
"Yep. Now, go get Ashley and tell him I need some help, then go get my brother. Tell him you love him and your sorry you reacted so poorly," I tell her, smiling at her from the mirror myself. She nods, then walks out of the bathroom, and I follow in my chair.
Ashley's POV: I silently wonder what's taking them so long. I would have expected to see Emily come out and order me to go get my girlfriend by now, or heard Christina scream my name from the open door of the bus, but now I'm starting to worry, myself.
What if Christina can't get through to Emily? I mean, that would crush CC. He told me earlier about their little plan to hook Emily and him up, but clearly something went wrong. Maybe Emily doesn't share CC's feelings, but that wouldn't make any sense, since she screamed she loved him and bolted inside the bus.
Just then though, I see Emily walk over to the group, and she says, "Go get your girl," to me, and I quickly race to the bus.
When I get inside, Christina's sitting there with a shit eating grin plastered across her face, and says, "We did it. Now, all CC has to do is accept her apology and they will be together."
I smile widely at her, then pick her up, bridal style and spin her around, saying, "I knew you could do it. But what took so long?"
"Had to fix her makeup. She has black running all down her face from crying," Christina says, with a laugh.
"Ah, alright," I say, then walk outside with her in my arms. I gently set her in her chair, and we head back to the small group by the fire.
On my way back though, I stop at the cooler and grab a couple beers for Christian, CC, Emily, and myself. I then grab the Jack Daniels out of the cooler and pass that and a couple beers to Christina, who happily sets them in her lap, but jumps at the coldness.
I chuckle at her, then we finish our walk/ride to the group, passing out the beers and passing the Jack around. It's been a good night, and it's ending just perfectly, since Emily now sits on CC's lap and they are both smiling from ear to ear. Yep, nothing can beat a night like this.
