Onyx's Point of View

Once we had arrived at our new apartment I decided I would set up my daughters bedroom so that the four year old could sleep peacefully. So I got her pillow and teddy bear from one of my suitcases and put them on the bed which was sorted out before hand by the people that own the building.

"Now, Callie sweetie, your bed is made, so you may sleep if you wish." I spoke kindly to my daughter.

"Once you've had an hour, we should go buy some food then find a park!" I said leading her into her new bedroom. I kissed her forehead whilst I tucked her into bed, placing her stuffed cat by her head.

Whilst Callie was sleeping I unpacked my clothes and placed them into my wardrobe, and set up my bed placing cushions, throws and three stuffed animals onto the bed and pictures on my bedside table and dresser.

I checked the time, it had been one hour. Time to wake sleeping beauty. But before I wake her I better ask for a taxi to be here to get us to the shops. Pulling on my shoes and brushing my hair I heard Callie yawning and her bed creaking.

"Callie dear, can you put your shoes on so we can go to the shops. and then maybe the park!" I asked walking over to her and handing her favourite pair of shoes.

"Yes mother." I stood shocked at hearing my shy daughter speak.

"Lets go sweetie, I shall give auntie Joana where we are." We both walked to the taxi and I paid the driver in advance.

"Thank you dear sir." I said before exiting. Taking Callie's hand we walked into the shop to buy food and drink for the week.

"Callie, I will get the food, would you mind picking out some drinks you would like from the drinks isle." Callie nodded and walked away. I rushed around the shop trying to find everything I would need for the week, and a few little treats for Callie as well.

"Onyx? Onyx Wild is that you?" I heard someone mention my name. I whipped my head around and saw Andy, Joana's teenage crush.

"Andy? What are you doing here?"
