Just a friend, nothing more.

-CC's POV-

School was finally over, for today, at least, and I was currently hanging out at Andy's house with him. Yet Ashley was on my mind.
"So," I said before taking a sip of coke and leaning back into the couch. We were watching Batman (wonder who chose that) and talking. "Are you taking anyone to the Halloween dance?"
"Nope. You going with anyone?" Well, I wanted to go with Ashley, but that would never happen. I had decided not to deny myself and face my feelings for him, which I was convinced were sadly not mutual. Hmm, but what to tell Andy?
"I want to go with someone, but he'll never say yes."
"He?" Andy asked, almost spitting out his coke. Whoops, I meant to say they. Too late now.
"Uhh," was all that came out. Shit, I really didn't mean to say 'he', I was completely unprepared for this.
"Dude, it's fine if you like a guy. If it helps any, I'm bi," he told me. Whew. Wait, what? This entire conversation was unexpected.
"Wait, what? You're bi?"
"Yup. I was thinking about asking Jake."
"Really?"
"Yeah, don't you think he's cute?"
"I've got my eyes on Ashley." Andy paused Batman for a second. Wow, something serious was about to happen.
"How about tomorrow, before class starts, we both ask out our crushes on a date? You know, just so we can be official with them before the dance."
"Without a doubt, this will be the most courageous thing I will ever do. You, Andrew Biersack, are one brave man," I laughed, and we continued with Batman. Though really, on the inside, I was freaking out. Why would a guy like Ashley ever say yes to a guy like me?

-Jake's POV-

Ashley suggested that if I wanted to ask Andy out, I should. God I was so nervous, standing in the crisp fall air at the school parking lot, waiting for Andy to arrive. I shoved my freezing hands in my pocket to try to warm them up, but it was just for a moment before I saw Andy's car pull into the lot and he stepped out. I swear my heart stopped, he was so perfect. He was wearing tight black pants, both his jacket and his boots were black, leather, and studded. His hair was combed off to the side, with a little bit of black eyeliner circling his oceanic blue eyes. He smiled and began to walk over to me when he saw me there, paralyzed in his beauty. Seriously, I couldn't move, even bringing myself to walk was a challenge impossible to conquer.
"I-umm-Andy-hi," I stuttered when he reached me. Stupid, stupid, stupid, I cursed myself.
"Hi, Jake. So I was wondering, by any chance are you free tomorrow night?" He asked. Tomorrow night, tomorrow night. My mind was so scrambled I could hardly think straight.
"Uhh, I think so. Wait, what's today?" Andy laughed.
"Thursday, tomorrow's Friday. Are you available?"
"Yes, I'm single." Oh. My. God. Did I really just say that?! No, no, no, no, no, this was NOT good. Andy laughed again, which made my heart flutter.
"Good for both of those things, because I wanted to ask you out on a date." Holy f***ing shit, was I hallucinating? My jaw dropped, and Andy's face fell.
"I-I'm sorry, Jake, I hope this doesn't ruin our friendship. It's just that I've liked you for a while now and-" I hugged him tightly, though I really wanted to kiss him. He might not want that, yet, anyway. I didn't want to ruin things before they started.
"You don't know long I've waited for you to ask that question," I whispered before pulling away. Andy just looked relieved.
"Oh, thank god, I was convinced you were going to say no and we'd be stuck with this awkward silence!" He cried in relief. I just grinned like an idiot.

-Andy's POV-
I practically skipped through the day, lost in a carefree daydream. He said yes! He really said yes! Were my only thoughts. Soon, I also began to wonder how CC did with Ashley.
