CC's POV

It had been a week since Madi had her miscarriage. Her & Andy are in really bad shape.

I talked with the doctors while Madi was still in the hospital, and they thought it might help with the grieving process if they had a memorial type service. Even though it was sad to watch, the hospital even took some pictures.

It was hard but I convinced them to have a service. I planned everything, so they could grieve privately.

While she was pregnant, Madi & Andy talked that if they had a girl her name would be Caroline Ashley Purdy-Biersack. Andy wanted to pay tribute to Jake's mom, Carolyn, but at the same time have it be unique. Madi came up with the middle name, because of her brother. If it had been a boy, he would've had a mouthful of a name. His name would've been Andrew Christian Jeremy Jacob Purdy-Biersack. JJ would've been his nickname.

Today was they day of the service. Micah & I would bring Andy & Madi to the church.

When I got to their door, I knocked.

Madi answered, dressed & ready to go. Her face was still red & puffy. Andy was closely behind as we walked to my car. They got in th backseat, as Micah was in the passenger seat.

When we got to the church, Jinxx, Ashley, & Jake were handing the attendees programs.

I chose a pink pastel paper, and decorated it with purple glitter & dark pink baby booties cutout of paper. I put “In Celebration of Caroline Ashley Purdy-Biersack” on the front. I chose not to do “In Memory Of” or “In Honor Of”, because it would make it even more sad. I didn't want to make the grieving process for Madi & Andy worse.

Andy held Madi for the entire service. Everyone shared their thoughts on what life would've been like if Caroline would've been born at full term. Madi was sobbing, and even though he would hate to admit it, I saw Andy crying too.
