Daddy's Little Girl

NEXT DAY
It's a wonderful afternoon and I'm going to visit my neighbors. I got out of my house and jumped the fence that separated my house, from Christina's grandparents'...I walked through the garden and to the back door. I slid it open and stepped in and like always, Grandma Ferguson was cooking something that will surely place a smile in my face.
"Hey Granny", I said as I kissed her cheek. "Where's Christina?"
"Hey Seth..she's upstairs unpacking..she said there's no way she's going back to L.A"
"What happened?", I asked as I sat at the bar.
She shrugged, "I don't know and I'm worried about her.."
"It's so weird..", I said.
"What's weird?", Christina asked as she got in.
"Nothing.."
"Okay.."
"So, you're back to stay?"
"Yes, I am.."
"Well, I guess you should know that I'm dating Lola"
"You guys are dating?", she asked.
I nodded, "Since you left"
"Oh.."
"So, what you want to do?"
"Nothing...I'm going to be in my room if anybody needs me"
"Are you okay?"
"I just want to be alone..", she said as she left the kitchen.
I turned to look at granny and she looked disappointed.
"What?", I asked.
"That was stupid from you"
"But I'm dating her and I love her"
"No, you're breaking Christina's heart..", she said as she went to the backyard.
I sighed, I really don't know what to say or do...I got out of the house and went to mine. I really need to talk with my brother and tell him Christina didn't took it as he thought she will. I feel miserable and I can't believe I did that to my best friend...I want her to know that I'm always going to be here for her and that she can count on me, but I don't think she'll trust me after all the things I've done to her...I got in and slammed the door behind me.
"What's the matter with you?", Edward asked as I got in the living room.
"You suck at giving advices.."
"What happened?"
"I told Christina I'm dating Lola and she didn't take it as you thought she will.."
"Well, no one told you to tell her that.."
"You did!"
"It depends on how you tell her stuff.."
"Well, I told her I started dating her, after she left"
"You suck, bro"
I rolled my eyes, "Have a better plan?"
"You don't tell a girl things like that..have by sure she won't like to know a thing about you two after that.."
"What should I do?"
"That's up to you"
"You know what? I'm not going to follow any of your advices from now and on", I said as I went to my bedroom.
Maybe, i should take her out for dinner and explain her everything or just keep going with the game and see where it gets me. I grabbed my phone and texted her.

Me: Christie, want to go out?
Christina: No, thanks...I'm not feeling well
Me: But you were okay a moment ago?
Christina: Well, I started to feel sick..
Me: You're lying, you're just jealous because I'm dating your best friend..
Christina: No, who told you that?
Me: You can tell me..is not a sin
Christina: You know what, Seth? Don't talk to me ever again, okay?! Forget about me, my name, where I live..everything! Because from now and on you can start to realize that we're no longer friends

God, what did I do? I was about to jump out my window, but I didn't...I went back to her house and knock...she opened and I knew she wasn't expecting me to beg, but I was going to..
"Hi, again..", I said.
"Do I know you?"
"Christie, come on...we're best friends"
"We used to be best friends....now get the fuck out of my doorstep and never come back", she said as she started to close the door, but I place my foot in the way.
"Tell me, why you have to shut everybody down?"
"Because, I can.."
"Give me a good reason, Christina.."
"You were the first one to start, though...I came here thinking being close to you will help me through the situation I'm going through but you just come and tell me that I've been in your way to get with Lola, but you know what? I won't be in your way anymore, just don't talk to me", and with that she closed the door.
I just lost my best friend and the girl I've been in love with for 9 years already...I sighed as I walked back to my house, there's actually nothing to do there and I knew she came escaping from something and I wasn't there for her...I feel like shit, to be honest.
