Escape The Past

I smiled as all five of us talked about everything from dogs, to Jake's obsession with Pizza, but most of all I think I was finally warming up to Ashley because I could talk to him freely without freaking out that Jocelyn was just around the corner, "So Megan, whats the story behind your tattoo?" CC Asked me eager to know, I smirked as I began to tell what it was about, "Well its sort of like a reminder of someone whom I loved, he loved stars and especially the ones with the rhinestones in them. I was with him the last night of me being a senior and the night after graduation and I ended up nicknaming him my outlaw, and me, well he nicknamed me his butterfly. I think he got a tattoo of it in cursive letters, but I can't remember. And then after that he left with his girlfriend and watched me get beat up. But thats in the past." I said finishing as I looked at them, CC's eyes were wide as he looked at Ashley, some of the memories of that night were still fuzzy like who nicknamed me their butterfly and who I called my outlaw. "Ash..." he started, I looked over at him as the rest of the memory came flooding back.

"I'll be right back." I said as I freaked out and walked out of the restaurant to the outside where I leaned up against one of the walls and covered my face with my hands, I heard someone else come through the door and a familiar sweet and soft voice engulfed me, "Hey." He started removing my hands from my face and seeing that I was crying, he began to remove the dropping tears with his thumb. "Your..your the guy I got the tattoo after, and you..you nicknamed me your.." I stopped, "Butterfly." He finished for me with a small smile to me. "But why did you leave me there when Jocelyn started to kick and punch me!" I hissed as I looked at him, "You want to know the truth Megan?" He said to me his voice getting softer. "Yes!" I exclaimed waiting for the truth, "Jocelyn's family was paying for food for me and my family and the only way I could keep getting the food was if I continued to date her, and keep you out of my thoughts. But when I came to LA and found Andy and the rest of the guys I dumped her and I swore I would find you..my little butterfly again." He told me, I looked at him and nodded.

I flung my self at him wrapping my arms around his neck and inhaling the scent of axe mixed with other colognes. Feeling his arms wrap around my waist was nice, but I couldn't stop crying, "Shh...its okay Meg." he sad to me petting my hair, I couldn't understand why I was crying, but wait, yes I did, I was scared that Jocelyn would come back and torment me just like she did all those years ago and I missed Ashley, I really hated to admit it but I did. I let go of him and wiped my eyes smiling as he smiled back at me, "Ready to go back inside my butterfly?" He said to me as I nodded and fixed my self up before we returned back inside.
