We Don't Belong

“Morning boys, its finally nice to meet you” beamed Matthew. “Morning Sir! you must be Mr Waters?” replied CC shaking his hand “Please CC, call me Matthew” he smiled “Oh and this here is my daughter Sapphire, and well shes like an extra daughter to me but this is Tori” As he looked at Tori he noticed that she was still a little star struck, Matthew just smirked at her as she realised everyone was looking at her and she blushed slightly. Sapphire couldn’t help but giggle at her best friend, causing everyone else to laugh making Tori blush even more.

There laughter was interupted by loud knock on the door asking for Sapphires father he quickly excused himself leaving Sapphire and Tori with the guys to chat. “So you guys are fans then?” asked Ashley and at that point Sapphires phone started ringing, it was Echo. She apologised to the others and stepped out to answer the phone leaving Tori to talk with the band. “Yeah I love your band I think you guys are amazing and your music always helped me through rough patches” she replied to Ashley’s earlier question “What about Sapphire is she a fan too?” Tori hesitated before she answered Ashley’s “Umm.. well she loves your music and she thinks you’re all extremely talented but she isn’t exactly fond of a particular member of your band” Ashley laughed at this “who is it she’s not particularly fond of then?” All of the guys now intrigued waiting to here Tori’s response. “Well… um Andy”

“Wait why does she hate me!?” The rest of the guys just laughed Tori felt kind of bad for Andy while they all laughed at him. “She thinks you’re arrogant, but I’m sure she’ll change her views on you if she gets to know you” Tori tried to reassure Andy and then just as he was about to say something Sapphire walked in and Andy just looked straight to the floor, he was slightly annoyed with Sapphire that she had judged him before she actually met him. Ashley winked at her which made her blush and then a few seconds later her Dad walked in. “Um guys, I’m really sorry to leave you here waiting but one of the other bands here are struggling a bit they've just lost their vocalist and now their drummer has just walked out on them too, so unfortunately I have to try and sort this out. I hopefully won’t be long and then I can talk to you about writing the new album” he said apologising to the guys. Andy smiled at Matthew and said “It’s okay sir we don’t mind waiting”

Suddenly Sapphire got an Idea! “Tori could replace the drummer shes really good” shouted Sapphire with such enthusiasm. Tori just looked at Sapphire with complete shock and after an awkward silence she finally said “The only way I would even think about drumming for that band is if you were the singer” Sapphire just looked at her really confused “Why?” “Because, Sapphire you have an amazing voice. Did you really think I couldn't hear you in the shower all those times.” Sapphire didn't know what to say she just stared at her best friend deciding on what to do and suddenly Tori begs Sapphire to give it a go “Pleaseeeeee! for me?” Tori said pleaded with her best puppy eyes impression, and Sapphire just rolled her eyes and smirked at her best friend. She finally answered her best friend “fine I will give it a go” “Yay!!!! “ Screamed Tori and Sapphire just looked at her dad nervously and he just smiled at her with excitement behind his eyes.

Sapphire was still questioning whether this was a good idea or not but she followed her dad and Tori out of the room to meet the rest of the band that they could possibly be joining. they went into the room next door and were met by three other people which were obviously all that was left of their band. “Sapphire, Tori meet the remaining members of The Lost Souls, Xavier, he plays rhythm guitar, this is Michael and he plays bass and last but not least Zed, lead guitarist” they all smiled at us Matthew spoke up again “Guys meet your new vocalist and drummer!” Zed, the lead guitarist raised an eyebrow and glanced at Sapphire and Tori he walked towards Tori and handed her a pair of drumsticks “Lets hear what you got then” he said with a very deep voice Tori raised her eyebrow and questioned him “how did you know that I was the drummer for all you know Sapphire could have been the drummer?” Zed just smirked at her “Sapphire looks too innocent to be a drummer” She glanced at him and he just winked at her causing Sapphire to blush slightly which then caused him to smirk again.

Tori headed for the drum set that was in the room and start to play the drum part to rebel love song which then caused a big cheer from CC and the rest of the guys who until now no one was aware that they were there. When Tori finished she got an applause from everyone in the room causing her to giggle she then looked at Sapphire “Your turn sweetie!” Sapphire just smiled at her nervously and said “pick a song for me to sing, Tori?” “Umm… Miles away by Memphis May Fire and Kellin Quinn” Sapphire just smiled at her as she suggested one of her favourite Memphis May Fire songs. “Okay, um Zed do you know the guitar part for the song?” He nodded.

Sapphire grabbed a stool and Zed sat and joined her with his acoustic guitar in his hands and he started to play the tune of the song. They had ended up going through the whole song and when she had sung the last line of the song everyone just stared at her in awe. “Sapphire you have an amazing voice!” said Andy. Sapphire was surprised that Andy had complimented her but she smiled at his kind words “Thank you Andy.”
