*Kia’s POV” I was woken up the next morning but the clicking of jakes texting && the dull roar of music playing through headhones. You know, how it just sounds like static. I immediately I realized I felt like shit. There was a burning in my throat && my muscles ached. I assume my body is sore from dancing && that all will be well after I get up && stretched. I coughed a little, shifting my weight but as Jake was laying half on top of me, it proved to be a bit more difficult. He felt my stirring && pulled off me, removing his headphones from his ears. I went into a coughing fit && Jake put his hand on my back asking me if I was ok. I nodded though the coughs && got up to go to the bathroom, where I cup my hands under the sink to get a gulp of water. I walked back into the room, Jake sat looking at me, obviously concerned by my ginger walking && lack of breath. “ I feel like shit” I told him with a chuckle. “ You look it, too” He laughed. I rolled my eyes && laughed a bit before sitting back on the edge of the bed. “How’s Ella?” I asked, having heard && him texting her pretty constantly over the past few days. “She’s really good. Gonna come over today” He said full of excitement “Maybe” His tone dropped. “Why just maybe?” I asked. “Well, I’d need to be sure everyone is full. That everyone can handle her around for a day or two” He said. I frowned but nodded, thinking he was asking me to let them all feed before she got her. I’d do it if he told me too, I’d have no choice, but I certainly don’t want to host all of them today. I don’t feel well as it is. Jake must’ve noticed my dwelling && spoke up quickly “Im gonna ask them all to go hunting with me” He said standing up. I nodded && turned aroung, walking to the bathroom to wash up a bit. Each step hurts like a mug, but makes me smile. I haven’t felt this pain in a long time. “Kia” Jake said, the sternness in his voice surprised me. I promptly turned around to face him as he stood at the door, it was open a bit already && you could hear all the voices buzzing in the living room. “Clean your arm” . I nodded, looking down at the trail of crusty blood that ran down my wrists. Jake left, closing the door tightly after him. I walked into the bathroom && cleaned my wrist first. With soap && alcohol && then I applied a layer of Neosporin . I combed through my hair, wetting it a bit to tame some of the craziness. Then I washed my face && brushed my teeth, just so I’m at least presentable. Stepping away from the cabinet, I could get a better view of myself && decided this shirt was long enough to wear around for a bit. I was killer sore && didn’t want to squeeze into uncomfortable cloths. I slipped on a pair of Jake’s socks && opened the door heading into the living room. All the boys were sitting on the couches, all already dressed for the day. “Morning sweets” Jinxx said as he saw me enter the room. “Good morning” I said back, my throat sounding a bit ruff. “You sick?” Andy chimed in, looking over his shoulder at me. The word ‘sick’ made Ashley’s look back at me too. “Nah” I said walking around past the guys to sit on the floor at the center of the couches. “Just feeling a bit yuck. && sore from last night” I said with a smile, blushing a bit. Ashley’s eyes suddenly went dark && I could see him gulp. Andy’s eyes went too && he looked from me to Jake with a look that could kill. I was confused for a second. Then realized what they thought I was saying. “From dancing. From dancing last night” I hissed, anger evident in my voice. Ashley immediately calmed down, his eyes going from anger to guilt in seconds. Andy stopped looking at Jake, but his dark eyes still focused on me. “Come” He said, looking me square in the eyes. I gulped. I just sat for a few seconds, looking from him to Ashley to Jake, they both looked back intently at me. . CC was staring at me, glaring the same dagger’s Andy was, Jinxx kept his head low. Andy started to growl. “Now Kia.” I got up walking the few steps to stand in front of him. “Sit” I started to lower myself to the floor, but his hand stopped me, wrapping tightly around my wrist he snapped me like a rag doll into his lap. I yelped a bit, trying to pull my wrist away. “Stop now Kia” I did, fearing the tone in his voice. “ Im starving- “ “We’re just about to go hunting Andy, their’s no need-“ Ashley started, his voice laced with anger && frustration as he looked into my pleading eyes. “ AND” Andy shouted, cutting Ashley off “I’ll be able to taste if your tainted” he said. I wouldn’t look at him, the arm he had pressed around my waist hurt && I couldn’t believe he was doing this to me. All because of my own stupid mouth. “Andy, I wouldn’t. You know that” Jake said. His eyes down. “Oh, Jakey. I didn't think you did anyway” He said with a smile. He took his hand && used two fingers hooked under my jaw bone to move my face to look at him.” I cried out at the pressure. “ Do you want to tell me something, before I find out for sure, little, innocent Kia.” I shook my head no, over && over, tears running down my face. “Andy! Stop this!” Ashley yelled. Andy immediately turned his attention to Ashley, standing up, he threw me onto the floor, I landed with a hard thud, my ankle dislocating on impact. “ I don’t think this is the best time to get involved, loverboy” Andy said, his words like venom as he towered over Ashley. Ashley quickly stood, his face inches from Andy. Their teeth barred as they growled, fist clenched. I watched in a panic, waiting for one of them to make a move. Andy would kill Ashley, I couldn’t let him do that. I had to do what I could to diffuse the situation. “Andy” I cried, sounding as weak && scared as I felt. He didn’t pay me any mind. “Andy, please. My ankle” I whimpered, wrapping my hand around his thigh. The touch got his attention && with a final angry grunt at Ashley, Andy turned to me, picking me up && carrying me like a sad, beaten bride to his room.
